WE Rise: How Our WA Community Lifts Us
Build Your Network | Support Others
One of the first things that WA invites us to do as we introduce ourselves is to share our financial goals. How much we would be confortable earning and how much would make us ecstatic. Like the majority of us, I dived staright into that and immediately wanted to know how to get this earning "thing" going quickly. Having moved from the trial and error with other platforms that promised instant success, I entered WA with the same expectation. BUT, in my short time here, I have learned and understood that WA is not about instant success. And I am glad it is so.
Do not get me wrong. My financial goals remain and may mean more to me now than when I started. However, the core fabric of WA - the glue that holds it together - is the networking in our community. It is through building our network and supporting others that we too shall rise.
Think about that for a few minutes . . .
WA - An Island On The Inernet Map
If we approach WA as we would a country in the world, it may help us to understand the most effective way to navigate, learn, build, grow and succeed. When you land in a new country the first thing you think about is not money. You start out wanting to see places, meet people, get to know them - what they eat, where they live, who they know. In so doing, you connect and share about yourself. If or when you need help, they are there. They know you and can therefore support you, vouch for you. Then, if you decide to open your business you will have prospective customers/clients to invite to enjoy your products and services. They in turn will refer others to your business. The circle of life.
The model is no different at WA. As we build our network we learn so much from others, new and old members. New members bring their difference, curiosity, diversity and fresh perspectives. They are usually hungry and eager to listen and reach out. Older members have the WA experience. They have travelled the road before and can be our eyes and ears. They are supportive and welcoming. They get us on track and put things into perspective.
Become A Better Version of Yourself
In taking this approach, we will have the benefit of:
- knowing many in our WA community
- learning what to do and what not to do
- practicing how to support, give feedback, share - skills that will support our digital business as we position ourselves in the vast internet world
- refining our writing, blogging and research talents which will definitely assist us as we "open for business" on the internet
Most of all, networking is helping me become a better version of myself. 2019 has been a tough year for me and the WA community has helped me to realise that there are many persons like me all around the world. Persons who, in spite of their struggles and challenges, are still willing and able to give, support and share themselves with us.
I do not feel alone here. I feel valued. I feel appreciated.
Thank you for travelling with me on my journey. I wish everyone of you immense blessings and success.
