Introverted? WA Is Your Biggest Supporter

Typical Introvert
I am an introvert. On a scale of 1 to 10, probably a 20. When I was younger, I would walk through the rain or take the stairs because I was afraid that someone would speak to me and I would have to respond. What would I say? What would I do?
My career took me into finance and computer programming. Not much communication there. Then, at the age of 21, I was appointed a Supervisor. My life started to unravel. Everyone was older than me and I had to do things like talk to people and support their learning. Who was I supposed to do that?!?!

Being an Introvert can feel like a battle.
Needless to say, after a couple of years, I literally fired myself from the job. I found these people difficult to work with. They didn't listen and, even worse, they were afraid of computers! How could they be afraid of this wonderful machine that did so much without much human maintenance?!
Flipping The Script
All through my life I have lived with internal conflict, trying to find a balance between being at peace with my internal functioning as an Introvert and the daily demands of my career and life. I allowed myself to feel that being introverted was a weakness.
My careers have taken me through Marketing, HR, Communications - all requiring me to perform publicly. People always seem to gravitate towards me and I have not been able to understand why when my preference is to be in a hammock with a good book.
Yesterday I was contacted my a Journalist from one of our daily newspapers to be interviewed for an article about how parents are managing their children at home during COVID-19 self-isolation. I felt humbled and honoured.

The Journalist contacted me on Facebook. Since starting my digital career, I have been more active on Social Media and have become very visible in my community as a result. I have launched pages for my 2 WA websites and I try to update them regularly. The Journalist was attracted to my writing and contacted me for her article.
It occurred to me then that, I may not be the first one to reach out physically as an extrovert may do, but I am always available to support and assist when asked or necessary. Much of this sharing I do through my writing and messages and, people do value my contributions.
Wealthy Affiliate Is An Incubator
Very quietly and unknowingly, I was beginning to retreat into myself following a series of unpleasant events, including being made redundant twice in 4 years. So many good things have happened to me since I joined our WA Community over 5 months ago.
Always a glass-half-full gal, I never stopped searching. My searching led me to WA and I am forever grateful.
WA is an incubator. In this Community, the support to become successful - not just financially, is unprecedented. You also become wealthy as a person. As you develop internally, so will your writing, attracting more followers, visitors and earnings.

You grow in so many ways at Wealthy Affiliate.
In this very special, warm and embracing place I have found a group of people who have accepted me, welcomed me and who support me every day. I can check into WA at any time of day or night and converse freely.
Those generous actions have helped me rebrand myself and reconnect with the goodness tat exists in the world. Much needed during these life-changing global times.
Namaste.
