Taking the Plunge

Hello, everyone.

I am so excited about the opportunity for growth and learning here at Wealthy Affiliates. The community is everything I was promised it would be, and the training is exactly what I need.

Honestly, when I first logged in and was getting started, it felt a bit like this guy in the picture above must've felt when he leapt off that rock, backwards, into deep waters... Exhilarating, freeing and a bit terrifying.
We had a huge pool with a diving board in our backyard when I was growing up, and I spent a crazy number of hours doing equally crazy tricks off that board when I was a kid.
Looking back, I must have given my parents heart attacks with the things I tried on the dang board, over and over again, until I'd mastered them.
What else is a kid in Texas supposed to do in the summer when it's 104 degrees outside day, after day, after day? I'll tell you–swim, and dive, and flip, and do gainers, ad infinitum .
Well, I'm no longer a kid and haven't been for many years. But, I still live in Texas and love the thrill of trying something new and risky. The older I get, and the more hot flashes I have, the more I like to find at least some things I can do indoors, out of the Texas heat!

WA seems like the perfect opportunity to use my skills and some of my (hard-earned) knowledge to make money. I have barely been able to tear myself away from the site. The night before last I glanced at the clock and it was 3:00 a.m. Nothing has captured my attention like this in a long time.

I love the training method–it's visual and provides step-by-step instructions on how to get down to work and build my website. For a hands-on and visual learner, this works great for me.

I thoroughly enjoy the community. Each person I've interacted with has been kind, friendly and helpful, and I have enjoyed reading about their experiences.

This just seems like a great fit.

Thank you everyone, especially Kyle and Carson, for the hard work you have obviously pored into Wealthy Affiliates. It has paid off, and I am benefiting from all that work! I am grateful.
