Coronavirus Pandemic - Personal and Business challenges
We know that for several years now Internet Marketing has been growing exponentially and much of that growth has been in Affiliate Marketing. That is why many of us are focusing on Affiliate Sales. But we must remain flexible and adjust to the changes that are now taking place. The current pandemic is creating terrible hardships worldwide but it is also creating new opportunities.
Our lives have been changed maybe for the long term. As people are forced to stay at home many are willing and eager to learn a home business. There is no better way to learn how to develop a home business than to join Wealthy Affiliate. Now is an excellent time to promote Wealthy Affiliate.
But in addition to this opportunity, the pandemic has produced fundamental changes to our Affiliate Sales businesses and to our personal lives. We will discuss here both the Business and Personal changes.
BUSINESS
As Sales Affiliates, we try to promote products that people are willing to buy now. Many of us are recommending products from the Amazon Associates Program, which is one of the more successful programs. But now it may be time to review other opportunities.
Yesterday Amazon announced that they are extending their new policy of prioritizing essential items beyond April 5th. This means that their warehouses will increase stock of essential items, such as food, medical supplies and household necessities. This is a humanitarian concern that merits applause.
However, this also means that they will have to reduce stockroom space for non-essential items resulting in longer delivery times for these items.
ADJUSTMENTS THAT WE SHOULD CONSIDER
It is now time to look at other affiliate programs that may include non-essential products, from other manufacturers, with shorter delivery times.
Wealthy Affiliate has a relatively new platform for finding Affiliate Programs. This platform can be used to find products that people want to buy now, manufacturers of these products, and affiliate programs that include these products.

The worldwide business environment has been drastically changed. We must remain flexible to the changes that still may be coming. Our Wealthy Affiliate community is a great place to learn from fellow members what is happening around the globe.
PERSONAL
We all feel the stress of forced confinement. Not being able to go out, exercise in the gym, or simply shop for groceries, is very stressful. Mental health is being threatened by the constant barrage of scary news stories. However, I have found unexpected benefits as well.
With fewer distractions, and limiting my time checking the news on TV, I now have more time to work on projects important to me, such as writing new posts for my websites and re-visiting our library of Great Courses. Although we miss not visiting our kids, and our one year old granddaughter, we still stay in touch regularly on Skype. We do not feel alone.
But most important is a greater closeness with my wife. By necessity, we started baking bread together. Not very well at the beginning, but now we are very happy with the results. Our "ciabatta" bread is really good and we enjoy this daily time together.
It is funny how Heide and I, both US citizens, originally from Brasil and Argentina respectively, are baking Italian bread from a recipe found on the Great British Baking Show. It is a small world indeed.
Conclusion
We must accept what we can not change. This pandemic will eventually run its course and life will return to "normal". However, the new "normal" will be different. Hopefully, because of this ordeal that affected all humanity, we will be better individuals, more aware of the needs of our brothers and sisters around the world. This should be part of the new "normal".
We will also have new opportunities to create different businesses that we can develop online. It will be an exciting time! Let's stay in touch within this wonderful Wealthy Affiliate community.

Thank you, Carlos, this is the reality for all of us. We also must beware that people who are in a panic mode or desperate have a tendency to want to make money now. Some of the people will lose their jobs and this will impact their personal capacity.
Also thank you for sharing the opportunities the pandemic is creating on certain supplies.
