Tip of the Iceberg

Interesting title for an article? So many times with products we only see the finished outcome but more often than not, we might be ignorant of all the time it can take to get there. For example, I know people in the advertising business who can take hours creating and perfecting an ad that can last 10 - 15 seconds, crazy isn't it? Movie studios undergo months of filming but the final product, the theatrical release is 1.5 to 2 hours long, 3 hours tops.Game studios can take years working on a game that might depending on the game itself, have an average playtime of around 8 hours. Heck I even took a a few weeks to compose a roughly 10 minute montage of a school graduation (maybe I was pre-occupied with other things but I digress).

So what does this have to do with Wealthy Affiliate? Well this sums up my experiences thus far. I took a while to come up with my niche, something I had to bounce back and forth with some members in the community, in addition to doing research both in and out of WA. Choosing a name for the website took a while because the name I originally had in mind was already taken and had to come up with something relevant to what I will be doing. Next was choosing a website theme. Boy did that take a while! I could honestly say that took almost a week because I wanted to choose a theme that will gel comfortably with what I will be going to do. After deciding on a theme and importing it, I had to come with artwork like graphics, logo, presentation etc (good thing I have some knowledge in photoshop) . Lastly I must have spent hours doing very very minor tweaks.

So in the end I have become the "parent" of a website; though not quite finished, is coming along nicely. I may have lost of time gazing admirably at it, but hey as the saying goes, "There's nothing quite like your first?" So far I have enjoyed the steps that have brought me to my present position
