Computer gets S-L-O-W
If I stay on any of WA's auto-update discussion type pages, or on FB for that matter, the active discussion after a while bogs down my computer so I can't participate, can't quit, can't do any thing except 'dropkick' it and start over!
I've tried three different browsers and both desktop/laptop machines, to no avail.
Has anybody else experienced this? Maybe the HD needs more coffee? lol

Today, no...but I have had in the past. Try emptying your cache. That sometimes help, as well as clearing your browser history. And too, there is the age of computer. Mine is a 2006 Macbook, so ancient by today's standards, and can't go higher than Snow Leopard OS X10. I don't mine too much-being full of patience (I'll just work on something else till the slow spot unsticks) but it drives my daughter batty :p
Thanx, but tried all that - even ran my AV scrubber program but still slows down! I've got a fairly recent 'puter with a quad processor so its normally pretty fast - I have about as much patience as would fit in a thimble so I drop kick the machine and start over.
At this point then, I'd be tempted to take it the local Geek Squad or equivalent store where it can get a thorough cleaning. Mine needs one-it's hot underneath, but shouldn't be-but the idea of not having it available is~well, I'll put it off alap (as long as possible)

Did you clean cookies and cache?!
Yes, but I'm pretty much convinced it's caused by the center column and chat column on the dashboard, as well as FB when I'm connected, that is causing the slowdown. If I don't leave them open (in a tab) while I'm elsewhere I don't have the problem.
Then reset the browser.
