How Do I Apply It?

What is really my brand?

How do I show it is me? Is it the name of my website or the name I sign on my Posts/Pages? I'm thinking it is the latter, but how do I apply it across different niches and websites so that people know it is me? Ok, lots of questions in a row?

I guess I was just wondering how to use it with a different niche on my next website. Which I am working on now. Yep, website #2 at less than 3 months. Not so bad I guess, not that I am bragging. Really! I'm not.

So, if I have Candice@CandiGirl7161@hotmail.com, this is my brand, as it is transferable to any niche? Or, is it just the CandiGirl7161 that I have used as an identifier for years outside of WA? Currently it only shows up in the email address on my various accounts, like Facebook and Google+. I know that I need something that will carry through my first two, but that alsoneeds to continue through all the subsequent sites as well.

My website that I am designing now is CandiGirl7161.com but my first site is mykindlefire.com. My niches are completely different. Both have my same email address and my About Me pages carry through with "Candice" information and introductions. What do I call my brand? And, how do I continue it from website/niche to another website/niche?

I'm always "Candice" when I blog/post/page. Am I right in believing "Candice" is my brand?

I need specifics here people. Tell me exactly what is my brand?

I really don't consider myself slow or dim witted by any stretch of the imagination. But, this is really confusing to me and I'm stuck on it. I'm a detail person so I work best with specifics and not vague instructions. I don't know all the "Internet Marketing" lingo, so when someone speaks as though I should know what they're talking about with "branding" I'm lost.

Is it too much to ask, "Just tell me the right words"? I'm soooo done with this issue.....

Please give me the words. Let me hear from you, my mentors and colleagues. I'm waiting :)

Comments will be welcome.

"Branding" is basically what you make yourself recognizable by - but know that this doesn't have to run consistent throughout different niches.

You can brand whatever aspect of it you like - whether that be your name, username, slogan, or domain name.

An example of branding would be having all of your websites follow the same colour scheme, and at the bottom adding something like "Another site from the CandiGirl brand"...

This way when people visited a site with that colour scheme, if your branding push was successful people would immediately attribute it to "the CandiGirl brand"...

Hope that kinda makes sense?

But like I say know that you don't need to have 1 overall brand as such. You could brand your MyKindleFire & CandiGirl7161 sites separately.

So for example, I don't know what direction your CandiGirl7161 site is going but let's say it's going to be launched within the work from home industry. You could use the slogan "CandiGirl7161 - the work from home woman" and "the work from home woman" could be your brand. If you use that line in all promotional material then people will attribute it to you, as your brand.

You don't need to get too caught up on it at an early stage to be honest - and as you progress you'll likely find that "branding" becomes more of a natural thing that falls into place.

Thank you, once again, Dale! That makes soooo much sense now. I particularly like the color coding and the "work from home woman" suggestions. You made it all fall into place for me.

You're welcome glad I could help :)

Candice - I am right there with you!

- Leslie (or is it Just Black Pearls or...)

LOL!! ;)

My son is a professional in this space and I asked if my domain name Seaside Funk (also my band name) matters. He said no, the content is what matters and your domain name or Candice in your case will become a trusted authority.

Thank you, "Funk". That helps.

Rock On!

Hello Candice, Oh Confused One:)
I wonder whether this training by Jay would help you out. Or
This post by Debbi (Dmorrow)
Hope this helps you out
Jackie

Thank you, Jackie. I will check them out. I've already done Jay's but I'll re-do it. The actual brand is what has confused me so far.
