I Am A Proud Public Servant

A young lady who I follow religiously asked for opinions on two very successful marketers with diametrically opposed marketing strategies; one all about the sale, (Russell Brunson), and the other all about building relationships (Gary Vaynerchuk). I believe that which strategy you prefer depends on who you are and your ultimate objective for starting your business in the first place. If you got in this to make as much money as fast as you can, Brunson's your guy.

However, if you got into this to make some money to do some good out there, relationship building is a much better choice, and it is also the strategy taught here at WA. Kyle and Carson constantly admonish us that making money should not be our primary goal.

The people who visit my website are my constituency. I have a commitment to them. That commitment is to inform, educate, entertain, and enlighten them. The money is a by-product of that commitment. The cool thing is, as my constituent's trust in me grows, my income will grow. Boomergp08 has articulated what I believe should be the alliliate marketer's creed:

"We do not sell. We recommend products through helpful information. Then we leave it up to the person to make an informed decision"

I do not take this responsibility lightly. I check one more source. I ask one more question. I go one more mile. I want my people to believe that I have their best interest at heart. They need me. Most of them don't know it, but they do. They need somebody to do the digging that they don't have time - or don't know how - to do; to ask the questions they would ask.

Yeah, there's a lot of money to be made out there, but you only need so much. Heck, a couple of million with your heart in the right place will go a long way. Both Brunson and Vaynerchuk are millionaires many times over, so what they are both doing is working - at least for them. I'm sure I can learn a lot from both of them: what to do, and what not to do. I guess it comes down to what I really want out of life. My joy lies in the fact that I am providing a quality service. I don't sell anything. I offer solutions to problems that my constituents are facing or will face. I am a Public Servant.

Love this. That's how I feel about my website too. :)

I like that -- a public servant -- what a good way to look at things. Yes, providing quality service will help us a great deal.

A very good perspective on things MMO. Russell teaches to almost give away our services in the beginning to build our trusting audience. His books are gold. I am not familiar with Gary, so nothing to say about him.

Indeed! Thank you for this
Kind Regards,
