So, I know the established wisdom is to start with just one website and go up from there.

Ha. Ha. Ha ha ha ha.

If you know me at all (which I think...none of you do?) you'll know that's not my style. I limited myself to two, but it's only going to go up from there.

First off - I love it here! Wow, this training is so much better than any I've ever seen, and surprisingly un-hypey. They promise and deliver. I'm so sick and tired of the super alpha overpromisers that dominate the affiliate marketing space. It's always seemed like a great business model to me, but I could never break through the Clickbank-driven hype to figure out how to actually make it work. (Ask me sometime why I hate Clickbank so much; I can bend your ear for hours.)

I've been following the videos faithfully, focusing on my primary niche of baby monitor reviews for the training process and diving into the slightly more saturated niche of side hustles for my secondary project. Imagine my surprise when the side hustle blog was indexed within a couple of days...and the baby monitor site, which has easily five times the content, still hasn't been indexed! It's an art as much as a science. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly I'm doing wrong - to be honest, maybe the baby monitor site is a little too SEO-friendly and is triggering Google's suspicions. I'll try adding some more personalized content and seeing if things change.

The strangest thing to me is that I haven't monetized anything yet - those lessons are buried deep in the third series of lessons. It's actually kind of the thing that makes me feel confident that this is the real deal and not just more get rich quick hype. I don't have a single product, a single affiliate link, or even a firm plan on how I'll start doing it. It's been referenced a few times, mostly in the first couple of example lessons, but it's been surprisingly low on that whole emphasis. That makes sense to me. This is a long game, and anyone who tells you it isn't is lying. Talking about the process as happening over months is very different from the usual "one day I woke up and I had a thousand dollars" type of affiliate marketing success story. I have no doubt that really happens for some people, but if that's what you're banking on you're going to be disappointed.

All in all, I've been really surprised by the level of success I've enjoyed here so far! It hasn't been astronomical - I'm still working on indexing, ranking, etc. But it's more consistent and reliable growth than with any other program I've been in. I'm actually excited to sit down and work on my websites every night, and haven't lost interest or motivation over the weeks I've been here. I feel like I'm making progress, and for something that hasn't paid me a dime yet, that's amazing.
