Facebook: a Pub for Stupid Drunk People

What do you think about Facebook? I remember when it came out everybody had to have a Facebook profile and people were using sharing every kind of info, thoughts, pics, etc... Of course, it was the first social network and everybody was hyper-hyped for this brand new stuff.

But now I kinda hate Facebook. It's like a pub of a little village in the middle of nowehere, where everybody is incredibly drunk and yelling the worse sh*t they can come up with.
I really don't want to engage my blog with Facebook. I already have Pinterest and Instagram and I think I'm gonna stick with that, but

What do you think about Facebook? And other social medias?

I believe FB is responsible for a lot of depression and anxiety, caused by the need for constant social affirmation. It also is horrible for young people... when I was a kid, if I was dealing with some garbage at school, I could forget about it once I left school. Social Media never turns off...

I am surprised there hasn't been more lawsuits tbh.

And no, I don't use FB. And don't even get me started about big tech and their censorship.

Oh yeah, def... I also grew up in a society with far less social media (there was only FB and it was not like this).
I was lucky from this point of view. But there are also the good sides of social media, like the awareness about some issues that you can talk about which I could've benefit from when I was younger.

It all depends on how you use them.

I have one of those "like-hate" feelings for FB. I think it is quite helpful in marketing and in keeping in touch with others from afar. It also gives us a way to keep our community awareness going. But....I really dislike the drama, the stage-shows, and the negativity it seems to attract.

I have always felt that 'one size does not fit all'. If Facebook does not work for you then find something that does. I know people that are killing it using FB while others just use it to 'keep up with the Jones's'

The ONLY thing good about facebook is some of the groups (neighborhood watch, fishing, etc). The rest is junk.

Most social media is just noise with everyone just screaming into the wind and more often than not it's vulgar, rude, discussing noise. And Facebook is probably the worst of them all. And Twitter is no better.

I would stick with Pinterest because it’s not a platform like other social media platforms. It’s a visual search engine where people are looking for ideas and resources. Not a place like Facebook where people go to bitch, condemn, troll and complain.

Can you tell how much I like Facebook - LOL

Hahaha I agree. I've been on Pinterest for a while but didn't really engaged on it too much. I'm discovering it's a piece of jewel.
