Networking, Facebook, Office Space, Covid-19 and more Learning

Hi all!

It has been a while since I wrote here. If you can see the picture above, that's how I feel. Like on a free fall. Excited and scared all at the same time.

Today I will update what's going.

December

In December, I decided to write more but at the same time since it was holiday season I also networked. Attended many gatherings one of the few times in the year that you could.

Also in that time span started to clean up my office space. Previously, I could only fit a sleeping bag in there, but now I can fit 2 folding single beds.

Also, there is space for three people to work on computers and still have space for files and printers (two). If no one is working, you can even add a sleeping bag with the 2 folding single beds (at this point space will be very limited).

At near the end of December, there was a realization that I can only work in my designated office space for WA stuff which includes writing posts like this.

At the same time I got offered extra to implement FB messenger as well as implement advertising strategies for FB messenger for an existing client. So some plans for WA got pushed back a bit.

January

After all the gatherings, its back to work and I started learning more on FB messenger bots.

I added a nice small wall mounted white board (around 2.5 ft x 3 ft) to my office space to get me on track.

At the same time, I actually planned and booked a flight for LA in April. It is a gift to me after finishing the FB messenger implementation which was planned to be done in March. At the same time I was going to go to Vegas to help me visualize attending WA Las Vegas event. You know, take some pictures with me in it and place that on a vision book. More on this later.

February

I was mostly out and was working on implementing the FB messenger for client. Since I was mostly out, I also decided to work on FB ads for WA affiliate commission during low work days. FB ads does not take up too much time.

So that was a big mistake, did you know WA links are classified as MLM by Facebook? So all ads were instantly rejected, also the FB page I was using for WA review website was probably noted to be link to MLM so I couldn't even start a like campaign even if its totally unrelated and has no links to anything.

I did found a work around by using google docs. Probably even a worse idea. I used google docs as a landing page. In that landing page is the link to affiliate offer.

For a while it worked (around 8 hours) but then .... ACCOUNT DISABLED. It was mid Feb and I was in a middle of testing (gathering data) with paid ads with my client. The bad part was I used the main ad account for everything and not the ad account for the project since I was testing things out.

I had to talk my way out of trouble with my client and offered to be paid later on since I was having FB issues. Luckily, we have been working for a long time so they understand.

If your account in FB does get disabled or any such warnings, you can talk it out with them. I believe most of it is algorithm based which means getting flagged is automated. After sending FB a message, two weeks after account was re enabled. BUT...

March

So March, March, March.... The Pandemic is official.

I don't know anymore but to make things short it was lock down. Something like mid March.

So everything was halted. Since the businesses I work with are local, no operation means no operation with me. I gave them a break and told them lets resume things once people can come out.

You know if you work with them closely you meet their employees too. So those businesses needs to take care of their employees first in this crisis. Some people fear that they will die from hunger first before Covid-19 can get them and kill them.

AND did you remember I scheduled a trip to LA and Vegas? Well those are canceled but I did not get any refund only a re book option.

So pretty much I ended up depressed because I was locked up at home and plans were put on hold indefinitely.

In March, I did finish a 2k plus blog post though for my WA website project.

April

Now its April. I decided to be more positive and not read or watch the news too much since I am mostly at home anyways.

I am reviewing or redoing WA training and also focused on FB ads as well. FB ads advertising for affiliate marketing (aka MLM) is what I am trying to learn to do.

Here is what I am thinking. Once quarantines are removed and the virus is killed, I would like to get to Vegas next year in one form or the other.

Also, SEO takes time to implement, while I am aging things I would like to implement something that can be done today and get cash in. Things might normalize maybe sometime September.

Working on social media like posting regularly is one way but posting with ads can boost sales if I found how to do it correctly.

So I am learning more on Facebook ads. Facebook has learning for that on their site so that's what I am also doing.

I am also learning FB ads more, because everyone is now more on Facebook than ever before.

Words

Although I am a bit scared to what the future holds I want to move forward. I am praying for us all but yet I would like to still say please be safe and stay at home.

It is hard to hear when people get collapsed lungs, get on ventilators, or even deaths.

I am in contact with a few doctor friends and they do posts on FB. Some posts do tell of their ranks decreasing from quarantine and deaths. This thing is very real.

If we overcome this, one thing is for sure the world as we know it has definitely changed. Which reminds me
