Jack of All Trades.Using It To My Advantage

Ok....soooooo, I might be going against everything that is taught here on WA, but I hope not.

So here's my dilemma:

(had to spellcheck, lol)

I am EXTREMELY scatterbrained... I mean seriously. I don't know if its because I'm a Gemini or maybe I'm just crazy. But I am always thinking, always dreaming, always having these AWESOME visions.

And that's a problem, because I can never seem to just settle on one thing.

For example,

I love music. So in college I switched from majoring in business to majoring in music. And then I switch from my major instrument being saxophone to being voice. But then I didn't want to study just voice, so I became a Music Business major...

Buuuuttttt.... I wasn't really learning what I wanted to learn so I switched to Mass Communication. Then I couldn't get the internships that I wanted soon...

I switched to a whole 'nother school my junior year.

You see my problem...

And unfortunately this problem did not stop the older I got. Don't get me wrong, I eventually finished my degree and got my BA in Business and Marketing. And then I went on to complete a certificate program in Audio Engineering and Production.

But I still can't decide on what path I want to take in life and how exactly I'm going to get there.

Specifically...

Narrowing down my NICHE.

I'm a truly Jack of All Trades...Master of None. And to be transparent, I've been at this Internet Marketing / Business stuff for 6 years and have yet to really find what works for me.

Sad, I know..

But I just keep trying...no matter how many times I fall and fail...I just can't shake it.

I mean, I seen some results.

Like when I became an Avon Representative the middle of last year. And after some effort, I actually saw some passive income. Its like it came out of the air...

Well not really, I started a couple of blogs, maintained my Facebook page, posted some stuff on Google Plus and consistently mailed brochures. And within 4 months, I received a check from Avon for $60.

Unfortunately, I couldn't really keep up with mailing out brochures and had an encounter with a customer who ordered, but didn't pay... and now I owe Avon money, smh.

Sad, I know, right?

Anyway, I've decided that instead of trying to force myself to stick to specific niche in the beginning. I'm going to use my scatterbrain-ness and go more for Personal Branding.

I think this will allow me to truly be myself, share my thoughts and possibly help people on the way.

Maybe even inspire other people to accept and be themselves as well...

After all like my most FAVORITE quote in the world says:

"...And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from out own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
-Marianne Williamson

So there it is...

How I plan to use being a "Jack of All Trades" to my advantage.

Maybe it will work...

And if not...Guess I'll brush the dust off and try something else.

Fingers Crossed,

Beelyta

Sharing My Thoughts...Hope it Helps

This Ted Talk comes to mind after reading your post. https://youtu.be/4sZdcB6bjI8

Many of us have a problem like this. But it isn't a problem. Think of yourself as a Gestalt Human. A Multipotentialite.

Perhaps a Renaissance Person.

Oh wow!!! Yes, this Ted Talks really resonated with me. And it's essentially what I'm attempting to do. By not forcing myself to focus on a specific niche, but instead more on how I can help people...I've really been inspired to do a lot more blogging. Thanks for Sharing :)

You are quite welcome.
