Finding Balance between Work/Family/Business

I have been working diligently on my website for past couple weeks and I have made great progress. However, I am currently feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. So much so, that when I sit down to write I start to feel anxious. So today I took a step back and reevaluated my situation .

Problem:

As much as I want to succeed in my business, I have to be realistic and resilient. My success online is not a race...its a lifestyle. My biggest motivator for wanting to build an online business is to have more control over my life. But if I continue at the pace I am going I will end up burnt out.

My "right now" reality is:

  • I work a full time job offline (sometimes working 10-12 a hours).
  • I am a single Mom of 2 beautiful and very active boys.
  • I don't have 10-12 hours a day to put towards my online business (barely have 1 hour).
  • I don't expect instant success and realize that I am in it for the long-haul.

Solution:

My online success starts with shifting my mentality. Like I said before, this is not a race. I need to focus more on consistency and quality rather then speed.

So realistically:

I will choose one day to set aside a couple of hours to work on my online business.

I will use the rest of the week to research, brainstorm, and create a loose outline.

I will set a goal to complete and put into action 1 lesson weekly.

Final Thoughts:

As much as I would like to start earning money now from my online business, I also want to make sure that I am building a business that will last.

Good thought process, busybel. Some days you may have to adjust your time-schedule.

Research is key!

to your success,
Wayne

This sounds like a good plan. Getting oversaturated can lead to losing track of any progress.

Take it a piece at a time. You know I'm always here for you if you get stuck on anything.

. Hi Belita, nice to meet you,im going to try that, when i get off and clean up,I will get on my laptop greeting and not getting anything done.some time,s i feel like im in quick sand you know! i think i going to set my time up and on my day off to put quality time in.I like that it,s not a race,so many time,s i allow other thing,s to take my time away thinking it,s important:(let me see if i can get it going.I want to make sure i have a solid foundation for the long haul.. to your fortune. Carl

Carl, I understand completely. I think setting a day with a specific time frame will help us get and stay focused. We have all the tools we need...we just have to put it into action.

you so very right, this is it,now just to take action.we shall stay @ it..thanx:). to your fortune. Carl ps:lol, very powerfull stuff!!

Hi Belita. I think most people here can relate to how you're feeling, one way or the other. There are just not enough hours in the day! Somehow, we all have to learn to create a balance that works for our unique situations.

As I always say, we will all get there, just at different times. Best to you! Michelle
