A Lucky Find
I can't believe how I stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate when I did. I had broken my ankle (still recovering) and in plaster for 7 weeks. I have used up all my sick, annual and long service leave and have no money coming in till I go back to work, although I love the people where I work, I realised I needed to get out of there as I have been there 22 years.
So there I was looking for quick ways to make money on the internet. I joined one affiliate market training scheme and although they were great they did not give half the support, but one day on one of their posts someone mentioned how good WA was so I thought I would check them out. So here I am, 3 weeks later with a website, doing something I love, although feeling I needed to pull my hair out at times lol! I can't believe how friendly, welcoming and supportive everyone here has been. Every question I have asked has been answered so quickly, the training is so easy to follow and you can do it at your own pace, people offer great advice without making you feel stupid or like a failure. The Pay it Forward attitude works extremely well and there is nothing I like better than being able to help someone.
My past experiences with affiliate marketing have been disastrous. Left to my own devices I quickly gave up as there wasn't any support and I really didnt understand what I was doing.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at WA so far. I am learning so much and finally feel that I might be able to earn enough money to quit my job of 22 years one day soon.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity WA has given me and the many new friends I have made here from all over the world.
Wishing you all the best
Barb

great post Barb and it sounds like you are well on your way to accomplishing your objective and getting out of the old 9-5 routine. I pray that happens quickly for you, and hope that you are healing well and will be back out running down the highway to success soon.

Thank you Dr Carl :) I am healing well and off crutches and using a walking stick but also getting around a bit without one. Once I can drive I will have to go back to work. Unfortunately it's not 9 - 5, it's shift work and I am not looking forward to going back in about 2 - 3 weeks. It's also a 90 klm drive both ways so you can understand my reluctance to go back, but bills have to be paid so I'll be fine once I get back into it. Take care :)

I agree with you on how friendly and supportive everyone is and pay it forward is a great idea.
Agreed! Pay it forward absolutely works - glad you're here with us. Hope all is well on your end :)
