Skills Development and Practice is Where It's At!

So I've talked about my new skills I'm working on, trading and talking on the phone about my business. Of course, we have lots of skills we learn on this website too, and I am not neglecting those.

Since my last post on Sunday I have started doing both of my new skills I am learning, instead of just hearing or reading about them.

I have been trading Forex (on a demo account since my real one is not approved yet) since Monday. I have access to a course that teaches it but haven't finished the course yet. So I'm not picking my own trades, just copying from someone else at present but 3 of my 4 trades have made (pretend) money. The 4th is still open, has been up and down but now looks like it is going in the wrong direction so I may lose on this one. Something to be expected once in a while. I will still be in the black overall.

I have also started the process of calling people on the phone to talk about my business. These are people who have requested information about working from home, and I am calling them back to interview them to see if they are a fit for what I'm looking for. I am not very good at it yet but I am already better than I was on Tuesday before I made my first calls. I have a dialing program that speeds it up and takes care of no answers and leaving the message if you get a voice mail box, so I can focus my time on actually talking to people.

I will not be using this to promote Wealthy Affiliate as I think it's safe to assume no one I am talking to wants the wait time for income that comes with writing a blog. However, once I get enough content to connect my site and my social media I will be sharing my articles there.

I joined a group on Facebook where they have lots of free recordings of someone who is a master at this, was very successful in network marketing and now retired from that. He does the prospecting sometimes, other times he coaches his students who do it.

I may sign up for the coaching at some point but right now I am still trying to get as much as I can out of the free training. I listen to his recordings as much as I can, even at my job when it doesn't interfere with what I'm doing. He has a special script that helps people, especially new people like me who don't know what to say.

I have to get lots of practice and do it every single day, at least for 15 - 30 minutes a day.

These are both scary things to do, especially the phone part. But I want this, I want the confidence that will help me talk to people in person to see if my business can help them also. And I love the fact that I can go on my phone in the middle of the night, punch in a trade, and a few hours, 1 or 2 days later have more money (with the trading). Without even getting out of bed.

I am now reading about another form of trading called Binary Options. It is an even simpler form of trading, you just buy the option and you either get $0 or $100 depending on the outcome of the event the option is about. I don't know if I'll start doing it now, got lots of other stuff to work on first.

On the blog, my website, since that is the purpose of this community. I am continuing to write 2 articles a week. I was hoping to get more last weekend when I had 4 days off but that didn't happen.

I still made progress on the Online Entrepreneur Certification however, perhaps I can complete another lesson today. I am now halfway through level 3 and I am looking forward to getting on the Social Media part in Level 4. Of course, learning how to make money with my website is important too!

I am focused on the skills that can be used to make money, but of course I am using them to help people as well. I mustn't forget that.
