My progress so far
I have joined for the last 6 days and have a website created with 2 posts, 1200 - 1500 words per post, I have an about me page and a privacy policy. I have learned about appearance and menu's which is great as when I first loaded my website I did not like the layout, to be honest still not happy but I am concentrating on images and content. My niche is "pet birds" and the reason is I have 5 pet birds so most imagery will come from them and I do not need masses of research as I have done this over the past 5 years of having them. I know the real issues of keeping tropical birds especially in a cold, wet country (the UK) that I live in. I did discover "wealthy-affiliate" about 10 years ago but it was much harder than it is not, HTML knowledge was needed whereas now not really, you click "add link and it's as simple as that. I remember having to learn all the HTML for this. I'm not going to lie I gave up years ago but never forgot and I have to say "Wealthy affiliate" have made everything so easy, luckily I am naturally good at writing I love it.
My biggest accomplishment for the next few months is to get a fully functional site with over 100 targeted keywords, financial gains hopefully will come later but for now I love to write. The only issue is I do not have tremendous amounts of time, I work full time in "car sales" and it's long boring hours. I do love my job but sick of working for people I do not believe in, working for people who I feel do not deserve their position but anyway that's another story.
I believe that if you put the work in every single day, how much will you achieve in 12 months? If you do not do it in 12 months you will have nothing. It is all about hard work, I have not made a penny online but I know it will work. Hopefully I can update everyone in a few months and maybe I will have earned some money.

Congratulations on your progress. AHA! another WA 10 year ago HTML user. How interesting it was back in those days. We have been members over 10 years. So like you have observed seen a lot of change.
You are absolutely right. Keep on writing new blogs that meet needs, solve problems and are unique and quality filled and things will happen.
Several members are taking the 1 blog per day challenge and know this will bring them real success. They have seen it.

It seems like you have a game plan, with already two-post with a total of 2,700 words is a great way to get off the ground.
