I am feeling unbelievably stressed out and demotivated. I went from living with my significant other (with two large dogs, two cats, and a snake) to living by myself with no significant other (with two large dogs, two cats, and no snake). I also went from having a full time job tha allowed me to work from home quite a bit, to my position being eliminated (thank goodness my SO still had his job and I had unemployment). That's when I found WA. Now that I'm alone again I have a full time 40 hour a

Not sure if some of you noticed, but I have been MIA for at least 2 weeks...possibly closer to 3. Quite a bit of that time was spent driving back and forth between St. Louis (well almost technically I was still in Illinois) and Ohio. My new house is bought. I'm all moved in (still a few boxes of books to unpack). And now I FINALLY have access to internet at home again. I've been keeping up as best I can with some of my social media sites from my phone and limited computer access. I'm so excited

I've been out of town since Friday (it's now Wednesday). I'm on my way to moving back to where I grew up. It really has been great visiting my parents and looking at houses, but the busy schedule hasn't left me a lot of time to work on my website. An interesting thing happened though. I found that I was able to draw inspiration from some of the difficulties being out of town has caused me to creating a post. It is probably the fastest post I have ever written. It definitely required the least a

Much earlier today I was encouraged to do a little rant in live chat. The word "freakin" came up a lot during this rant. I've been trying to get more familiar with Googe Webmaster Tools and Analytics lately, but some of it just really has not made sense. In webmaster tools it was giving me good high number of indexed pages based on my site map, but when I went to the Index Status I was seeing a consistent 2. Today, for no reason what-so-ever, that 2 jumped up to 94. I definitely don't have 94 U

So I've been experimenting with different social media platforms for my site for the past week. I've found some interesting things. Google + I've never been one to use Google + so maybe that's where the problem is coming in. But I have but just as much effort into it as a few of the other social media platforms. I've gotten no followers and no hits to my site from it. I'm sure it's good for some people, but for me it's just not working. I'll keep playing with it because it could possibly be me

It's been a month to the day that I went premium with WA. Over the past four or so weeks I have done all of the certification training courses. I have also browsed, and enjoyed, many other member created training courses, videos, and some videos/training from outside of WA. At times it feels like there is so much to learn that I may never get a website ranked and earning money. My brain tells me that simply can't be true because other people are doing it...then firmly tells my emotions to shut

A few blog posts ago, I wrote about three personal goals that I had. Each one of those goals had a time limit and I could have easily achieved them...if I had the proper motivation. My weekend came and went. I found that I had reached one of those goals, almost reached the second, and didn't even work on the third. That is perfectly okay though. To me that means I need to find new personal goals that motivate me to get my booty movin and get the work done. I'm not sure exactly what happened to

The world has become a place full of instant gratification. Want some food? Go to the drive thru. Need some information? Just go to Google and there will be hundreds, if not thousands, of sites waiting to give you what you need. For the things that truly matter in life though, fast is not always best. You've got to stop and smell the roses along the way. I had been looking for quite awhile at ways to make money from home. I started mystery shopping, taking surveys, did some Mechanical Turks...N

Or maybe starting a new habit. I've never been a blogger. I never wrote down my thoughts in a journal, or diary, when I was young. It's just not something I've ever felt the need to do. So now I'm trying to break the habit of not blogging. About five years ago I managed to lose 40 pounds. Every place I went to get information to help lose that weight they suggested making your goals and progress public to. "They" claimed it promoted accountability and I would be more likely to follow through if

Whether it is a good or a bad thing to be an Amazon Affiliate seems to discussed often. I know that Amazon has been cutting it's commissions and that other affiliate programs have always offered higher commissions. Many states have been excluded from being Amazon Affiliates due to state laws. Illinois used to be one of those. That's right! As of November 2013 Amazon Affiliates has been re-instated for Illinois residents. It may not be the best affiliate program available, but it is always nice
