Getting Back to Work on My Websites (And My Goals for 2026)

Hey everyone, it's been awhile.

I’ve been around Wealthy Affiliate for quite a while, since 2013 in fact, I haven’t been very active in the community for many years. So I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself and share what I’m working toward this year.

A Quick Introduction

My name is Brok. I originally joined Wealthy Affiliate years ago when I started learning about building websites and affiliate marketing. Like many people here, I was interested in creating something online that could grow over time and eventually generate income.

Over the years I’ve built a few sites and learned a lot about SEO, content, and how long-term this business really is.

The Struggle of Stepping Away

To be honest, there was a stretch of several years where I didn’t work on my websites at all.

Life and other business projects took up most of my time, and my sites kind of sat in the background. Looking back, that’s definitely something I regret a bit, because consistency really matters in this business.

But the positive side is that the content I created years ago never completely disappeared. Some of those articles continued bringing in traffic and occasional earnings even when I wasn’t actively working on the site.

That’s one of the things I love about websites — the work you do today can keep paying off years later.

Coming Back in 2026

At the beginning of this year I decided it was time to get serious about my websites again.

Before jumping in, I actually spent about a month just learning what had changed. SEO, content strategies, and even tools have evolved quite a bit since the last time I was really focused on this. AI has changed the game.

Since February I’ve been getting back into the habit of publishing again. I started by posting new content on my existing site and then decided to take things a step further and launch a new website project as well.

My Goals for 2026

For this year, my main focus is simply getting back into a consistent rhythm of building and improving my websites. Nothing overly complicated, just steady progress each week.

Consistent publishing each week
My biggest goal is to stay consistent with publishing. Even if it's just one solid article per week, I want to keep building content and growing both of my sites over time. I’ve learned that consistency usually beats short bursts of motivation.

Editing and improving older content
My existing site has a lot of articles that were written several years ago. Some of them are still getting traffic, but they could definitely use updates. Throughout the year I plan to refresh older posts, improve the information, and make them more useful for readers.

Growing my new website from the ground up
Starting a new site has been exciting. My goal is to slowly build out a strong foundation of helpful content and see where it can go over the next year. It’s still early, but getting that first sale was a great reminder that progress happens step by step.

Be more active within the Wealthy Affiliate community
I’ve mostly been working quietly on my own for years, but I want to change that. My goal is to participate more here, share progress, learn from others, and hopefully help where I can as well.

Continue learning and adapting
One thing I realized when I came back this year is how much things have changed. SEO strategies, tools, and even how content is written has evolved quite a bit. So another big goal is simply to keep learning, testing things, and improving my approach.

At the end of the day, my real goal for 2026 is simple: stay consistent and keep building.

A Little Accountability

One of the main reasons I’m posting this is accountability.

Working on websites can be a pretty solo activity, and it’s easy to lose momentum if you’re not careful. I’m hoping that by sharing my goals here it will help keep me consistent.

Hopefully some of you can help keep me accountable along the way.

A Little Motivation

One of the things that recently motivated me even more was getting the first sale from my new website. I'm not making consistent sales but lucked out and had a Pinterest visitor make an order.

It’s not life changing money yet, but that first sale is always exciting. It’s a reminder that the system works and that if you stay consistent, things can start to build.

That small win definitely gave me a boost to keep going.

Looking forward to being more active here and seeing what everyone else is working on this year.

Let’s make 2026 a productive one.
