I am a young married woman who is excited to begin my family! My goal is to be a stay at home mom, but I want to be able to contribute to my family and help my husband out too! He is a Worship Leader and is looking to be ordained. I helped to start and run a non-profit horseback riding facility to work with children who has relational, emotional and attachment disorders. I love using horses to bring smiles to children's faces and happiness in their homes!

Thank you! It isn't always easy, and it takes up all of my free time since I work a real job in order to support my home. I am hoping eventually I can switch from my job to doing full time online, be able to spend time at the farm more, and even more exciting to start my own family! Prayers are always appreciated and I will be sure to hit you up if I need help!! =)

So far so good! I have been working really hard on my website all week and so far have about 7 pages of content and 2 blogs written (although not all published yet!). Now I am working on SEO so I can start bringing in the traffic and building reputation. Any SEO tips? =)

Don't overthink it. Include a keyword in a readable title and maybe in a few headlines, but that's it really. Don't try and stuff keywords into an article or trick Google into ranking you for certain terms. Honestly, I pay very little attention to SEO. I focus on the reader and I write content that I myself would want to read.

I am very busy! I got married shortly after I opened up our therapy program, so I had to learn to adjust to a new lifestyle the same time I was trying to figure out how to run a non-profit and giving about 4-6 riding lessons a week, each individually tailored to that child's needs. But it is completely worth it and very rewarding no matter how exhausted it is. And I am still happily married and it's only getting better. =) I actually have degenerative arthritis in my spine though so I am in desperate need for some extra income, but am unable to find a job in my condition. I am hoping my experiences and talents, along with my passion, will get me there!

Hi Melanie, I'm quite new here, but have already learned a lot! We may have some similar interests! I worked at a therapeutic riding center when I was a teenager, and have been a nanny for several families. Currently I am an Ambassador for a children's book publisher, but am branching out to be able to market the books online. My niche website is for parents and caregivers to find activities to do with their babies and young children. Also, I will have videos, book reviews, and craft projects.

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate (which my friend dubbed "Waffles"), I wish you much fun and success in the coming months!

Thanks! That's neat! I work a TON with kids hands on and doing background/paperwork type stuff as well. But my favorite is working directly with the horses and kids together. Builds great memories for them and lasts a lifetime! I am trying to work on my niche and am gearing more towards natural horsemanship and preparing the horse from the ground up for therapies. =)

That sounds really interesting, and I'm curious what you mean by "natural horsemanship." I know there are many training styles out there, and the camp where I rode horses the most used western hackamores (I don't know if that's even the proper spelling), but some people claim they aren't any more natural than a regular bit bridle... I know almost nothing about the niche, but I bet there are lots of places you could go with it. Have fun researching and creating :)

It is more along the lines of working with the horse at their level of understanding to train, build relationships, etc. instead of simply jumping on their back and demanding them to listen. It requires a lot of "horse sense" and understanding their behavior with each other, instincts, and body language. Once you can learn the horses "language", it is much easier to work with them. A lot of people do this without realizing it, but to recognize what you are doing and why will really advance your relationship and training.

Ah, that makes sense. That is how the horses I rode seemed to be trained, the little bit I saw of the process with the younger horses. The connection or rapport the horses had with each rider was so unique since we treated them with loving care and, as individuals instead of machines. Or as a partner instead of something to be controlled or bent to our will. Am I getting it?

Yes! That sounds about right! =D It is a lot more common nowadays anyway, but just doesn't necessarily have a name. I am hoping to have a resource center to connect people to trainers, books, videos, training products, etc. on my website! =) Plus some of my own ideas and advice from my experience!
