3 Months at WA
I'm writing now to commemorate my first 3 months here at WA. I'm mostly writing this so I can look back on it over time, and see how far I have come. I've already decided that I am not going to give up or ever get down, so I have high hopes for success here.
I've been moving along slow and steady through the training, researching and writing. Currently, I'm near the end of lesson 4, about 75% of the way through. Everything here has far exceeded my expectations, with the training and all the help that people are willing to give.
I try to best to go completely with the training and do everything that is asked. Which involves a lot of pausing to write an article. At the moment I have 10 pages that I have published to my site. I believe all but 2 are indexed in google.
I can tell my writing and structuring have improved since I started. I will admit that before I started, I already had ideas of what I wanted to write. Even though the keywords fit the criteria in Jaxxy, they were insanely high ranking on google and dominated by many authority sites. I still wrote those articles, when I should have started with much lower keywords. But this has helped me to learn.
Now I am completely focusing on the low hanging fruit and trying to get ranked in google. I don't think I have ranked yet in google, but I know these articles with the low keywords are getting the most views.
As for now traffic is pretty minimal. It has been up and down for about a month. It was trending up, with 8 being the most I had in one day. I actually had 8 users in back-to-back days, so I thought it was about to start trending up. This week has been back down to just a few a day. But I know my site is still new, so I'm not expecting anything to take off yet. I just want to continue building my content, so when it does take off, it will be a good site with great content.
Still haven't had any sales yet, but that's just a matter of time. Right now my main focus is adding content, trying to rank for low keywords, getting traffic and building my social media. I have accounts for most social media sites, but the two I focus on the most are Twitter and Pinterest. I started with nothing on both sites. Now I have over 200 followers on Twitter and on Pinterest I have over 400 views this month. My links are in my Bio if anyone wants to follow, and I will follow back.
I just wanted to write and show where I stand so far. Even though everyone is different, this may help someone new understand that you are not going to have instant success. But you are given all the tools to be able to achieve it. You just can't give up on it. I am positive my success will grow over time, and I hope the next time I post it will show that.

For three months you are doing well. You are absorbing the training and applying it not just to your website but on social media as well. You should give yourself a pat on the back.

Slow and steady is the way to go Brian. It's how I've done it and still doing it. You'll be surprised how much you can absorb at your own pace and implementing it is even better because there's no pressure. You have a ton load of supporters too! Wishing you all the very best on your WA journey! Maria
