I've previously worked on various tools assisting construction of webisites. Here, the edit button is missing to commence and proceed with my activity.

Which Edit button are you referring to?
If you mean the Edit button for your pages, go to your Back Office - WP dashboard - Pages - All Pages.
For posts, WP dashboard - Pages - All Posts

As you've suggested, I've attempted to visit my Back Office - WP but was unable to discover my WA Identity over there.
As such the access of dashboard, activating edit buttons of All Pages as well as All Posts continue to remain pending.
I want to remain a premium+ regular in WA through renewals on time every year, if my attempts to work here could be as easy as I compile blogposts regularly in Google's Blogger.
Shall look forward to witness the Ease of work, displaying wisdom I've gained through hardwork of decades, to be a dream come true soon.

Ok, they both look the same as mine. The only difference is I'm using a laptop and yours a phone. I'd suggest you use a PC or a laptop. It's much more comfortable.
Anyway, back to your initial questions. Before you edit those basic pages, you need to create them first. Go to Pages - Add New Page.
Where are you in the training?
Thanks for suggesting me to use desktop PC or Laptop instead of Mobile Phone, Meina.
It's the best possible suggestion since actions like "Control+K" could be exercised only with the help of desktop PC or Laptop.
I've created pages "About Us" and "Contact Us", while working towards finalization of contents for pages "Home" and "Index".

Then I went to the dashboard, where all the process I revealed in this conversation began to repeat.
Finally I'm back to square-one (please see screenshot). How to find Transfer Verification Code?

I see what I did wrong, my friend. Go back to the corrected link and leave a message for SiteSupport.
To contact Site Support, click "Help" on the main menu, then select "SiteSupport" and then send them a private message. As someone else have mentioned, you will have to start over with WordPress.

Delete this post before someone steals your site, this is a public area of WA and then contact site support. I will tell you though that Squarspace and WordPress are different platforms so you likely will need to start again to use that domain.
