Trying Yahoo Answers

My website has recently taken a turn. At first I was writing posts and trying to make sure that I had at least one post a week. I was of course adding posts to social media to help build my traffic.

Recently I have been very busy with research. My niche is working from home, so I am trying other companies and posting them on my site. This is taking a little longer then I thought it would. I forgot how long it takes to truly try a company in order to give a good review. Actually, I think it is the fact that these other companies are not very good. I knew everything I needed to know about WA in two days.

I have also started trying to respond to others question in Yahoo Answers to help advertise my site. I found a youtube video that talked about posting to Yahoo Answers and figured I should give it a try. I have only been doing it since yesterday, so I am not sure how much it is helping yet. This is all a trial and error process because different techniques work different for different people.

I would also like to add some youtube videos myself, but making a video is very scary for me. I do better with typing then talking. Hopefully this week I can work up the nerve to make a video for youtube because I am sure it would help.

Does anyone have any advice for someone who is "camera shy"? What are some steps you take to make a video for the first time?

I mean to share here n response to BrandyA's post. I am hesitant to do my own video right away. I am working on
1. "Sound bites" so I can post "podcasts" - Working on means getting content & "my voice" sound right. "Right" refers to tone, accent, and pronunciations.
2. For videos I am trying to do a "PowerPoint" presentation that can be 'automated' which I can enhance with music & perhaps a voice commentary.
3. While doing these I can figure out how I might want to be featured in, or use video. One option is to use other videos online and link them to my blogs/pages (with necessary permissions of course)

Hey Subra, I never thought of doing a power point. That might be easier for me. Thank you for your ideas. I am going to try to do a power point and see if that is easier for me to try for my first video.

Don't think there is any chance of me doing videos as I hate the sound of my voice.

I don't like the sound of my voice either, but I think a video on youtube will help with traffic, so I am going to force myself to try. I understand how you feel though. That is why I have never put a video out there before.

Sorry, can't help but I'm interested to hear the answer as I am terrifically camera shy! :)

I don't have tips myself, but Paul Goodwin is the best one to go to for Video's at the moment!

Thank you. I will check with him.
