One Month In - Patience and Time is the Name of the Game
So I reached the one month milestone and I am still feeling good about where things are at. I have a golf niche and have over 13,000 words consisting of 8 posts and 7 pages. I have over 20 different products on my site and continue to add a few each week.
My main concern at this point is getting traffic to my site (as I am sure everyone goes through this after a month). When I started creating posts and pages, they were getting indexed by Google within just a few days. My latest posts and pages have not been indexed yet and some have been over two weeks. I don't understand why I was indexed so easily to start and now I can't seem to get indexed.
Time will tell as to how things will turn out, but I am not at the point where giving up is an option. After month three if the results don't start showing any signs of progressing, then we might need to think about what's going on.
I went in to this thinking that creating a website was a pipe dream, but if I were able to get something up and running, people would find it. I was wrong about both. Creating a nice looking website that is informational with the intent to help others while trying sell a product is possible. Getting traffic to that site is by far way more difficult than I anticipated.
Hoping traffic starts to pick up a little here and there sooner rather than later. Patience is key for me right now. I know deep down traffic will come. I just watched Field of Dreams for the umpteenth time. "If you build it, (he) they will come".

Hi Brand, you have embarked on a 45 year university course in Affiliate Marketing. Since we accept that it takes time to make money in any other profession, this is no different.
But we have an advantage. As long as you develop and apply the skills taught, the chances are it will take much less time to build a profitable business.
Sorry you had expectations that were perhaps too optimistic. Actually, it sounds like you are doing really well.
You will learn later how to use Google Search Console to get your posts indexed within a few hours. Jay Neil has given a course on this topic in the Friday webinar series. You can access that on the left through Live Events.
If you ever need more in depth training on the topics you are being taught in the OEC or Affiliate Bootcamp, you can find that in the archives here.
My main advice is to never give up.
Cheers.
Edwin
