After I leave a comment on someone else's website, is it possible to be notified when they reply?

Sorry I can't help. I still learning things. Still new at things.

It depends whether the site has that function on their website, usually done by a plugin. I use "Send email only on Reply to My Comment", it gives your site users the option to receive email notifications. Otherwise, it's like 777 says, add to favourites.

Thanks Kathy

Hey Brandi,

If you're talking about reply's from other websites you can add yourself to their mailing list, If you don't want to do that...You can add them to your favorites...If you got too much in your favorites like myself :)) you can do what Loes suggest, which I think is a great idea, add them to a spreadsheet, you can use Google docs which makes it a lot easier. I hope I was some help. I tried to find Loes's, blog but I couldn't find it.

I'll ask Loes. I don't necessarily want to join each mailing list. It seems like that should be an option to be notified of a reply (to a comment on someone elses website) since we enter our email address when we write the reply...

Yeah, Some sites have them, like what Kathy said, some don't.

Hi BrandiMW,
Yes it is possible. Just go to your Account settings (click on your picture in the top right of home page) and then go to E-mail notification and make your choices. Hope this helps,
Deidre

I want to separate my blogs into catagories, by putting them into pages. I've seen it done on other sites. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hey Brandi:

I was performing a question search and found this thread which may help us: I'm on my tablet, unable to drag and drop links, so you may have to copy and paste the link above. I hope this helps Brandi!

Hey, the link popped up soon after I entered my reply! (Laughs) I tried it on my waystoavoidonlinescamstoday.siterubix.com website and it works. Please let me know if it works or if you need assistance.

Fantastic, it's taken me a few days to get to this, sorry. I'm about to try it on my site and hopefully it works!

It worked! That's the most exciting thing! Thanks again for the answer!
http://travelwithoutajob.com/

That helped me understand how to put posts under a menu item, and make them as if they were a page. Thank you.
However,
I'm hoping to learn how to make a page a series of posts. In other words, instead of having a single blog roll that contains a variety of topics, I'd like to separate the posts into areas of interest in pages. For example, I'd like my posts regarding books to be in a blog roll within the "books" page and I'd like posts relating to 'tips & tricks' to be within the "tips & tricks" page.

I hope this makes sense. Do you have any thoughts?

Greetings Brandi!

Have you found a solution to your initial question? I am also interested in having a blog roll on multiple pages.
-Wayne

I have not found a solution yet unfortunately. I'm just going to keep adding content and searching for a solution. Hopefully we can exchange the solution if one of us finds it...

I'll keep on searching on my side because I'm also wanting to include a blog on a specific page. Good luck to us!

Still no luck with this. Really want to make it happen. Have you found a solution? I think I might ask one of the creators or an ambassador?

I have not found a solution on my side. Here are some of my random thoughts.

There may be themes in WP that have multiple pages with blogrolls. The user may have a selection to activate a blogroll or turn it off for select pages. I have scrolled through several theme pagessplinkages with nothing standing out with multiple blogroll pages.

I tinkered about in WP the appearance > menus sections in the navigation panel. Nothing stood out as to creating a blogroll for certain pages.

I will keep efforting on my side and will keep you posted Brandi.

What is article power? How important is it when considering a keyword?

Article power: this is based on a mixture of the strength of other sites and the quantity of them. It is letting you know how well your articles (and pages and posts too) will potentially rank. WA advises that QSR (lower than 300) and monthly searches (minimum 50) are the most important metrics in choosing a keyword.

Hey Brandi, article power is a metric use to better rank in the search engines. I personally look at the QSR first. I do look at the article power because it's also helps you rank better in the search engines.

Here is some training that I think you help you out. It really helped me out when I was learning this keyword stuff. :)

Perfect, thank you for that. It cleared up a couple other things I was fuzzy on too. Good refresher. (I got your email too, and will respond soon.)

That's great Brandi! :)

Ok. Just to make sure I'm on the right track:

"leftover rotisserie chicken recipes" 1126 searches, 73 competition
vs
"easy leftover rotisserie chicken recipes" 206 searches, 9 competition
vs
"what to make with leftover rotisserie chicken" 135 searches, 7 compet

With article powers of 8.9 - 8.6 - 8, respectively

I'd go with the top one because competition is below 400 and has the most searches? Or as a new site, would I go with the lowest competition and be happy with 135 or 206 searches?

Me personally I would go with 135 searches 7 comp with 8 article power

Here's why. all the keywords has rotisserie chicken and are pretty much the same, there is no guarantee, but most likely what will happen is that you will rank for all three keywords.

This is what I experience. when I go with the lowest competition, I will end up in the first page of Google, then people are reading my article, then I will start raking for those other keywords for that particular article.

Write a really good article, which I know you will, with value and that will benefit people. If you do that, people will read and share your article. That's what you want. :)

Thank you again. Definitely wouldn't have thought that myself. Counter-intuitive but I like it. I'll give that route a try.

Hey Brandi, try it see how it works, there's nothing wrong with testing things out. :)

Indeed. How do I know how it is performing? (Maybe I haven't gotten to that lesson yet, I'm on course 3)

Through Google Analytic. If you haven't gotten to that lesson yet, don't worry about it. First thing first is getting your good quality content out there.

Baby steps.

yep! :))

Keywords are the what brings people to your website in the search engines. That is why Kyle teaches the google alphabet soup looking for keywords.
