Today while I was learning about finding my niche, I was able to tackle several questions that I have always had. I am certain they are the same questions we all have had at one time or another. I got through with lesson 3 and realized...why was it so hard to comprehend at first?

It wasn't that I couldn't understand what the definition of a niche is. It wasn't like I hadn't looked it up or Googled "How to find my niche" a million and one times before signing up with WA.

No. I knew what a niche was, but I couldn't understand how to apply the concept of a niche. That's it. I mean, I have several things I like to do. I like to garden (snicker, snicker), I like to listen to music, I buy shamelessly on Amazon in many categories a year, and I have several hobbies that I start and never finish. The thing is; these are all niches.

I think I was always led to believe that a true niche was something you had expertise in or something you could say you were really knowledgeable about or involved in. Not so. And from what I've been reading (and by watching the video in lesson 3) I realize that I don't even need a friggin' niche here at WA!! How simple have they made this for us?

I have looked at people's websites for a couple of years and anytime you Google making money online, you are going to end up seeing something about WA online. I realized that I have the opportunity to be one of those websites if I didn't want to do anything else...ever! Of course, the "ever" part is not how I intend to move, I just feel super excited to finally figure out that in order to find a niche, I just have to get focused on one thing and stay there. I love they way it was simplified even more by saying not to worry about the competition.

We are programmed to believe that offering a product or service for profit means competing. We're going to be competing yes, but the audience is going to be soooo many more people than just those who walk in a brick and mortar store. I think that's where my mind has been. If I focus on driving the audience to my site, offering sound product and service information, and making the experience simple and pleasant, I am bound to make sales. By tracking visitors, I can keep them coming back with specials and promotions, updates, and new features if I change something! Not only that; if all else fails and I can't decide, I can just promote WA and get dang good at that and keep it moving!

I think I have this thing figured out. Working on my future in this virtual classroom is really taking the angst out of affiliate marketing and I am sooo glad to be a part of this educational experience.

Jus sayin'
