So why are we here?

Basically we are all here to make money, one way or another. Some of the people on here are experienced in this type of business and others are not so and then you have got the people who have never ever done this before.

For those of you/us who are in that position, you need to follow the training, use the snippets of information that come from other people's posts and training and use this to build your online business.

So where does your business come from!! It comes from the traffic to lead to your website.

Now there are two keyword tools available here on Wealthy Affiliate, one free the other is to be paid for. Both give you good information as to what keywords to use on your site to generate traffic and to me i prefer the paid one as I think that this has the edge over the free tool.

One thing you need to remember when choosing your keywords though and that is how many other people are using the same words and phrases to generate traffic to their own sites.

This is where the numbers come in as the lower the competition the more chance of your site appearing on the all important page one of the search engines and especially the golden goose that's Google.

No you may think that 14 searches on month for a keyword or phrase isn't going to get you to where you want to be, but hey it could be 14 more searches than you are getting already and as you could well be on page one and the number one position its better using that word or term than one that gives you 10000 searches but you are on page 20 and nobody is reading your site.

Keep the numbers small and the competition small and you have a basic recipe for success.
