Who Wants To Earn Commission On A $12K+ Product?
WOW! WOW! WOW! I didn't think you could earn an affiliate commission on a product that costs more than $12,000 but I found one, and there are others that are even MORE expensive. This may be a new untapped niche and could be perfect for those who either love or have a motorcycle.
LET ME EXPLAIN HOW I FOUND THIS
Not long ago, the SUV I drive for work broke down and needed a repair. After taking it to the company mechanic I was told it would take two days to fix. So my boss gave me one of his cars to drive in its place. This car was a Tesla Model Y Long Range. I never drove an electric car before but I quickly fell in love with it.
Then the other day while near the local Harley-Davidson dealership, I saw a super-quick motorcycle that didn't have that loud throaty exhaust sound typical of most H-D motorcycles. I found out later it was an Electric-Powered Motorcycle made by Harley-Davidson for their LiveWire brand. So that got me thinking.

I went up on the Harley-Davidson website to check it out. While on the website I noticed that you can make purchases of practically EVERYTHING associate with the brand from Clothing to Collectibles to Parts and yes, to motorcycles as well. No need to go to a dealership. Custom design your bike online and purchase it.
Naturally I scrolled down to the sitemap at the bottom of the screen and sure enough they have an Affiliate Program. Their commission amount is 5% with a 30-day cookie. So 5% of $12,000 is $600. Can you imagine how much you could make from just one electric motorcycle and some related clothing?

I started looking at all of the gas-powered motorcycles you can order from the website, many of them OVER $25,000. Then I started looking at their LiveWire electric motorcycles for sale and noticed that they also sell Electric Bicycles for kids at $2,650.00 plus kids helmets. Electric is becoming a popular niche.
THE UNEXPECTED HIGHER COMMISSION PAYMENT
Have you ever earned a commission that was higher than you expected? I know this happens sometimes when you promote a specific product from the Amazon website and the buyer bundles other products on to their order. Image that scenario happening when a parent of a little boy goes to buy him an electric bicycle.
A father who rides a gas powered Harley, is looking for a quality Electric Bicycle for his son. He comes across a review you did on a Harley-Davidson Electric Bicycle by STACYC and while making the purchase notices the new S2 Alpinista Electric Motorcycle and makes a purchase for himself, bundling it with his son's bike.

This would make a GREAT narrow niche ideas for not just adults into Harley-Davidson but also adults into Electric Vehicles and kids into Electric Bicycles. I did some quick research on YouTube and though the initial sale prices were too high, the prices have come down quite a bit and people LOVE the performance. 0 to 60 in 3 seconds!
Plus like most EV models, these motorcycles and bicycles have Regenerative Braking, which captures the kinetic energy from braking and converts it into the electrical power that charges the vehicle's high voltage battery. Though it takes some getting used to, I like how it gives you more range from a one-time charge.
If you are looking to get into a fairly new alternative power niche for both adults and kids, the Harley-Davidson Affiliate Program might be something you should check into. What are your thoughts on the whole EV market? Do you drive an electric vehicle? Leave your comments and questions below. Let me know what you think.

Great find. It really feels like one of those rare needle-in-the-haystack moments in affiliate marketing.
It also makes me curious about my own niche. I focus on coffee, and now I am wondering if there might be some overlooked high-ticket products worth exploring there too.
Thanks for sharing this, it gave me a new perspective.
Sonia
There is an often overlooked source in your field, but some find it risque and this is CBD/THC Coffees. It is a growing niche.
Thanks Michael. I had not thought of CBD or THC coffees before. I can see how it is growing but for me it feels a bit risky and not the best fit for the brand I am building.
I appreciate you bringing it up because it is always interesting to hear different perspectives on what niches people are noticing.
Sonia
You are welcome Sonia. I was quite surprised that Harley-Davidson had an affiliate program and was even more surprised that they made and sold electric motorcycles for adults and bicycles for kids, in addition to branded clothing and accessories.
As for your niche...
I have a suggestion of a high-ticket item for your website that I've seen selling for over $2000. There's a professional grade home coffee roaster by Hottop. Though several companies sell this roaster, the company Prima Coffee Equipment has an affiliate program.
https://prima-coffee.com/prep/roasting
The above link is to their Roaster page and they sell two different models of Hottop roasters for $1650 and $2150. Scroll down to the sitemap area at the bottom of their page and you will see their Affiliate Program link. I hope this helps you out.
Thanks so much for the suggestion. I had not thought about professional home roasters as a high-ticket option but you are right, it makes a lot of sense with more people wanting that specialty coffee experience at home.
Prima Coffee looks like a great resource, so I’ll definitely check it out. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this with me, it gave me something new to think about for my brand.

Very interesting! I never would've thought of Harley Davidson offering EV motorcycles and bikes. I've seen a few electric bikes around here, but have never tried one. That'd definitely be a great commission with those prices for someone that is into that niche.
It pays to look into things as you've shown here. You never know what you might find for affiliate opportunities!
Thanks for sharing, Robert!
Best wishes :) ~Sherry
It was my pleasure Sherry! I too never would have thought that Harley-Davidson sold electric motorcycles and bicycles. This is why I thought it would be an interesting narrow niche for someone either into Harley-Davidson motorcycles, EV and electric bicycles.
You are welcome Mel and I just updated it with the correct commission of 5% with a 30-day cookie. That makes for an attractive earning potential.
Hey there,
This is great, and did you find out the commission % yet? The only thing is, would it be a fast mover? If not, then the commission may not make such a difference. This is based on your previous article about choosing the right product for maximum commissions, and also based on my own experience.
Yes, I just did and I have updated that part of this blog. They offer a 5% commission with a 30-day cookie. So a $12,000 electric motorcycle will net you a $600 commission.
Not too bad at all, if you can persuade the potential customer that is. I am sure many can, but take myself for example... The higher the price, the more convincing I would need. I scrutenize things sometimes.
Convincing anyone of any product can be difficult, even if you know the product. In this case if I were to make a website promoting this brand, I would focus mainly on the cheaper priced products like the motorcycles below $10K or on the electric bicycles for kids. Either way it would take work in persuading others to make an informed purchase.

Good morning Rob,
Thank you for an interesting blog post.
I believe that there are some affiliate marketers that just specialise in the high commission products, but I still think it's good to go where our passion is. It is amazing how many companies offer an affiliate program, which is great for people like us. I have had a few four figure commissions, but not recently and these were not really connected with main niche.
I've also never driven an EV, but I know some people love them and some people hate them. Long-term, I believe that it's much easier to create an electronic vehicle rather than something with gearboxes, shafts, etc. However, I don't go with the green narrative that many governments are trying to sell us, it's a massive moneymaking scam! Yes, I'm all for doing things naturally, but covering fields with solar panels is a complete blot on the landscape. And of course, there is no climate crisis, but there is a man-made crisis!
Have a great day and thank you for the interesting post.
Roy
My pleasure Roy.
I've only driven an EV, a Tesla, a couple of times. I didn't think I would like it but after about an hour I was hooked! The only overall problem is still the lack of charging stations, though they are building them everywhere now. However, unlike a gas powered engine that takes maybe a few minutes to fill the tank to full, it takes 20-30 minutes to fully recharge an EV. If I were to buy an alternate powered vehicle it would be a hybrid like a Toyota Prius. I don't feel comfortable relying solely on battery power.
Solar Power is HUGE here in New Jersey and it has reduced our electric bills. We really don't have many Solar Power Fields covering our landscape. Many places have solar panel roofs, covered parking lots at malls and other large parking areas. NJ has had solar since 2005 and we're like the 3rd leading state in the U.S. that uses solar. It's so cheap! I am not a fan of the big wind farms we have off the coast in the Atlantic, quite unsightly. Fortunately I don't live by the shore.
Have a great week!
It's a pleasure, Rob!
I'm told that electric cars are very quick, but I do quite like something with an engine on, whether it's a car, tractor or whatever, but I do understand where you're coming from! The charging issue is a big thing, it's okay if you can charge at home, here in the UK, but charging at a station is expensive and time-consuming.
I know of a man who had an electric car, as a tax incentive, which are good here in the UK, but he has now sold his business and has gone back to a diesel Audi. He said it would cost him about £70 to recharge the electric car, which was 250 miles, whereas, the diesel Audi would cost about £60 for 500 miles. That's a huge difference.
A friend of mine brought an electric Jaguar two years ago, it cost around £80,000, two years later, he can buy the same car, brand-new for £50,000, that's a huge loss. A friend of mine has just purchased an electric Audi, he has solar panels to charge the car. The car is three years old, it cost £73,000 new, he paid £25,000, which again, is a huge loss for the original owner. Basically, my friend can charge his car for free, but I appreciate there is the initial cost of installing solar panels and batteries, etc.
It makes a lot of sense to me for people to have panels on their roof and offices, etc. A customer I worked for built an eco-house, the roof was actually one big solar panel, so the whole roof was creating electricity. I must admit that sounds quite a good idea. I don't think, from what I understand, Rob, that the wind generators are all that efficient.
Anyway, it's an interesting subject.
Have a great day.
Roy
