How Do Wealthy Affiliate AI Credits Work

I have seen many members of Wealthy Affiliate, mainly the new members who ask the question, How do Wealthy Affiliate AI Credits work? In this post I will answer this question through screenshots and explanations.

I will also answer many of the other questions like: How to use Wealthy Affiliate AI Credits effectively, how to earn them, how to buy them, where do you use them and what is their value in relation to the AI tools of WA.

HOW DO WEALTHY AFFILIATE AI CREDITS WORK?

In order for you to utilize any of the AI tools at WA, you need AI Credits. Artificial Intelligence in general costs money to use and each of these tools have an AI cost to use them. This cost is paid for by your WA AI Credits.

Here are the current 4 AI tools available at WA and their cost per use.

• Article Designer = Cost 100 AI Credits for each use.
• Logo Designer = Cost 500 AI Credits for each use.
• Image Studio = Cost 500 AI Credits for each use.
• Jaaxy Keyword Research = Cost 100 AI Credits for each use.

Every time you use any of the above AI tools, your current total of AI credits you have in your membership account will be deducted accordingly. You can see how much you currently have at the top of any screen on the platform.

This is where you can view a quick snapshot of how many AI Credits you currently have. However, you can get an even better view of what credits you have and have spent, see below image, by clicking on that AI Credits indicator.

On the AI Credits screen, seen above, is where you can see the three different types of credits the WA platform uses. If you want to know about how WA Cash Credits work, click here. For this post, we're looking at AI Credits.

Directly below the area that shows you how many AI Credits you have, is your AI Credits History. This is where you see your Credits used, earned and bought. As seen above on May 7, 2026 I earned 10000 Subscription AI Credits.

HOW TO EARN AND BUY AI CREDITS

There are three ways to acquire AI Credits. One way is by receiving a determined amount depending on what level of Premium membership you have. I receive 10000 AI Credits every month on the 7th, which is my renewal date.

IMPORTANT! You must realize that the free Subscription AI Credits that you receive each month will EXPIRE before your next renewal month date, so use up as many as possible in any given month, so you can receive more.

There's another way you can gain more AI Credits, by winning them in any of Kyle's weekly challenges. This can be seen above where I received two of my winnings of 20000 each on May 9, 2026 that is marked as Admin Granted.

The last way you can gain more AI Credits is to directly purchase them from Wealthy Affiliate. As you can see in the above image on Jan 26, 2026, I made a User Purchase for 10000 in Kyle's deal of an additional 20000 AI Credits.

NOTE: Unlike the AI Credits you gain every month on your renewal date, the AI Credits you either win in a Weekly Challenge or that you have purchased from Wealthy Affiliate, DO NOT EXPIRE. This way you can always have some.

On the original screen where it shows you how many AI Credits you currently have, you can press the blue button that says "Purchase AI Credits" and you will be taken to the screen that you can see in the above image.

You can purchase different amounts of AI Credit packages and pay for them in two or three different ways. You can pay by Credit Card, by PayPal and if you have enough "Cash Credits" in your account, you can use them as payment.

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY USE AI CREDITS

Seeing how Subscription AI Credits you gain every month will expire before your next month, it is best to use those credits first, as many as you can. You may be wondering what happens when you have credits that don't expire.

The AI Credits system will automatically use your monthly Subscription AI Credits first, before subtracting from credits you have won or purchased that do not expire. Let me give you an example of what I do when I have both.

I currently have 26,300 AI Credits and when I gained my latest monthly Subscription AI Credits my total went up to 35.000 Credits (25,000 + 10,000 = 35,000). Of the 26,300 I currently have, 1,300 of my monthly credits are left.

In a little more than a week from now, I will be gaining another 10,000 monthly Subscription AI Credits. I know I have several Image Studio images I need to create before I get my new credits so I will have to use my 25,000.

Eventually I will have to make another User Purchase, unless I land in the top 10 of Kyle's Weekly Challenge. So that is my explanation of how do Wealthy Affiliate AI Credits work. Please leave any questions & comments below.
