Hi, is there a WP cron manager plug in that is allowed by Wealthy Affiliate? Although not a huge amount of traffic to my site I would have thought there would be enough to trig
Cron is not available here in WA
Here is what Kyle had to say about it a while ago
"We do not allow cron scripts to be run on our platform as they can create security and load issues on our servers. We are not willing to compromise the quality of our service for plugins and themes that do require this set-up unfortunately."

Hi, Thanks for your answer, it makes more sense now. Makes me wonder how people might use WA when linking their e-commerce sites to the likes of eBay and Amazon though.
Is anyone doing this successfully without using cron scripts, and if so how? Many thanks in anticipation. Martin
You are welcome Martin as for the second part of your question i have no clue who uses it for their own website you can always ask to the community that question and only those if they do could answer that the rest would be second guesses from others.

Hi, I used to use the Updraft Plus plug in to back up my site daily.
I understand WA has blocked the use of this plug in.
What are people using as an alternative please?
You can ask Site Support for a back up of your site any time you wish. The plug-ins do not make good use of server space, as I understand it!

no problem with the plugins if they are used properly....or the right plugins...
if they backup to the site rather than passing it back to hte plugins site then no bandwidth is used...
but this means a slightly longer backup and downtime for the site...
so it is balancing the two and most go for the passing data back to the site and clogging up the hosting bandwidth if member carry out numerous backups...

It is advisable for us to use our domain email addresses and have them forwarded, for example, to gmail, where you can setup your domain email to respond to right inside your gmail account.

Hi , I have just logged onto my website and now have a list of about 10 Website Administrators showing whereas before there was just me and an administrator (who is also me)
Do exactly what Andre (Apache1) said and then contact Site Support and ask them to check if your site has been hacked. Contact Site Support for Technical Issues With Your Website
There are two parts to fix this and also note that if they are listed as administrators then have the authority to delete your entire site and change everything on your site.
To fix this there are two parts to it.
Go to your website below the dashboard look down until you see users. then select all users
Click the checkbox for the ones you don't want and delete.
When done go to the dashboard again this time to settings then general
You will see a box most likely ticked where it states anyone can register.
Make sure this box is unchecked.
