Will we each resolve to make 2016 a year of abundance and success?

What do you resolve to do differently in the coming year? I resolve to make resolutions, but instead to set goals and create action plans to attain them!

Some folks may well say, that New Year's resolutions are goals, and for a very few that might well be true. There are some who do set goals and make plans for follow through. There is an even smaller group of folks who actually do follow through on those plans for the long term. Let's face it though, most resolutions are thrown to the wayside by mid-February!

On the other hand, goals are an entirely different animal. Goals are actionable, measurable, attainable and most importantly, they are sustainable.

Rather than sharing my list of goals for the coming year, I am choosing to share how I will be successful in meeting my future goals. These are the steps I plan to take to make my goals for 2016 a reality.

1. I will write my goals down. Goals not written down are merely pipe-dreams.

2. I will break my goal down into actionable steps.

3. I will set deadlines or due dates for completing tasks or reaching milestones on the path of reaching my goal.

4. I will take the actions dictated by my plans in order to attain my goals.

5. I will periodically check-in on my progress, be that weekly, or monthly to make sure I am on track and if i am not, then I will take that opportunity to correct my course.

The only other thing you need is a to believe in yourself. If you have the belief that you can succeed, then you can!

Who wants to join me in resolving to set goals and follow through? If we follow these steps, we can have more abundance and success in the coming year! I know we are all capable of creating our own successes. Let's make 2016 the year we do it!
