So What Do You Tell Them?
We all know why we are here at wealthy affiliate to be able to work for yourself and be free to do whater you want.
Here's the fustrating part.. I try to explain to people what I do and right away I can see the look on their face. They don't understand it and automatically they think its a scam.
I don't tell people in general because they won't understand how it works anyway. Plus it leads to a whole bunch of other questions if I do tell them. I get it they are curious. The people who are interested Ive sent them videos of trainings here but they do nothing with it.
But then it leads to people don't think that I'm working. (this is the fustrating part)
I know ingnore them but it becomes a cycle..
For me I see the potential affiiate marketing has. Ive made money.
So what do you tell people?

It is the same as painting some people look at a piece and say " Oh my five year old could paint that " it can be crushing just like when trying to explain the online world and people don't get it or worse still do that eye roll thing.
As I am just starting I am not too concerned, I have had a couple of friends ask me, they know me so forgive my stumbling.
I think that things will fall into place, the more we immerse and the more we engage and get in touch with our online endeavors.
It may just be me but everyone seems to be an expert when it comes to anything online. Mention online marketing or I am learning how to build a website and they will stop and listen.
The elevator pitch will come I am sure, its going to take a while me thinks.
If you go into something feeling like people wont understand, then they wont. But if you go into it with a more positive focus, they will understand :)
Dont spend too much time on your frustrations though. Focus that energy on something positive with your business. Positivity and encouragement get results. Frustrations, well... they can be distracting.
You educate them! Tell them how you do it. Tell them how the process works. Tell them how you have made money, or you can show them. People are scared or afraid if things they dont understand, but you can help them to understand by just explaining :) they just need to be properly educated is all
I do exactly this. I've sent them a video from the training ect,.. the most frustrating part is people think that I'm not working.
My only advice would be to just keep working. You know that you are working. Everyone here at WA knows you are working. If they still don't get it, just move on. I know it can be frustrating. I know you want them to know that you are working, but don't let this hold you back. You will do great things and if people can't see that right now, it's their fault. Just focus on you and your business. They'll (hopefully) come around. Just know that you are doing great and I know you are working :) Hang in there.
