Get Every Minute Out of Your Day

Have you ever had that moment when you feel like you have been "scattered thin"?
I have. I have a tendency to try and do everything all at once. Cleaning, laundry, dishes, cooking, studying and working on my business for what seems like I have a tendency to do all at once. Then I look at the time, back at my tasks (or habits) and see what looks like "I did absolutely nothing!"

I have decided to make my life a little bit more Fabulous each and every day; by using three apps on my phone along with pen and paper. It keeps me focused and on track. Maybe it will help you out too.

For starters, the apps that I will be discussing here are for Androids.

1. Fabulous: Motivate Me! (www.thefabulous.co - leave email to receive notification when it's available for iPhone)
   It's a science-based app that is your personal coach. With this, you can rewire your brain to do certain tasks every day. The graphics are pleasant and you can certain tasks/habits that you do each day. You will also receive personalized letters within the app to encourage you to keep going along with little tips. Take time out for you. With approximately 32,000 users who have given this app 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. I have also received an email from the CEO, "as being one of their first users", for feedback on what I liked and didn't like. That felt comforting. I suggested more customization on daily activities by the hour; as "habits" are grouped into 3 categories: Morning, Afternoon and Evening Rituals. I have mine set to notify me when to stop; take a break and meditate for xx minutes (included in app), write out my task list; on paper, and stretching/yoga. I find that since I have been using this I'm more likely to write down a million things to do on paper and narrow it down to 2 or 3 in each ritual.
   
   
2. SplenDO - To Do List
   I love this app! I don't have to have my phone in my hand to be notified of anything I enter. If I am within ear-shot of my "electronic leash", it will announce any tasks you have entered. Tasks can be labelled, set for monthly notifications and as you complete them just tick them off. If the task had been set to renew each month, etc. it will ask you as you complete it if you want it to renew. It has a clean interface and easy to navigate. If I'm late on completing it, I can set it for a later time or just dismiss it. It's helpful for me as I have bills that tend to creep up on me, so I'll mark it to announce for example "Transfer $47 USD to Chequing for WA". It has been helpful for over a year.
   
   
3. Pen and Paper!
   Mightier than any sword. This is where I enter the million things I need to do. I start my task lists the night before then review and make udjustments in the morning after I take my son to school. Gives you time to reflect on what needs to be done, what's ugent and what can wait. Move the ugent to SpendDO so you can be notified. I like to leave my notebook beside me when I work because when I get distracted by something either physically or mentally, I'll just write it down and carry on with my Wealthy Affiliate tasks or training. This way I'm not ignoring anything and if it was an idea it won't be lost in the mind cloud because you took note of it.

I hope this helps you get some ideas on what works best for you. I do suggest the notebook though. Not a notepad beacuse someone can come along and swipe a page leaving your notes loose on top. We all know what happens to little notes scribbled down on pieces of paper. Well, if you're like me, it will wind up in a pile of notes, child's masterpiece on it or in the trash.
