Just When I Thought It Was Time To Let Go, Something Happened:
TRAFFIC SPIKE
But First, A Brief History:
Some of you are aware of the fact that I recently submited my website for review, and I really got some amazing ideas. Thanks to each and everyone who stopped by. The implementation is still in progress.
I've been working on it since 2017. In the beginning I was quite dumb, and when I look at the progress I've made so far, I can only be grateful to this community and the training here, because I see a stark difference.
However, the steep learning curve is far from ending. All the feedbacks I received can only prove that improvement is an ongoing process and will never stop.
I EVEN WANTED TO CHANGE MY DOMAIN NAME
At some point, I thought it would be better to change my domain name. It was the very first time I bought one online, and I had developed some sentimental attachements to it. So I decided to keep it, but did something rather drastic: I COMPLETELY CHANGED MY NICHE.
Thanks to Grace AKA Littlemama, I understood what had to be done. So I completely switched and never regreted UNTIL RECENTLY, OR DID I?
I have been publishing like crazy recently and aiming for a new 2500+ article every single day. i always manged to miss some goals though, but I continued. And when I stabiliezed to publishing everyday, I started targeting publishing 2 blog posts of 2500+ every day. That was hard, but I did it successively for 2 consecutve days, and dropped down to publishing only once.
STOCK TAKE OF PROGRESS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Then it dawn on me to measure my accomplishments so far. That's when I realized...PERHAPS IT WAS TIME TO GIVE UP
I've made a few Wealthy Affiliate sales, but compared to what others shared after almost 2 years of promoting this platform, OMG, I knew I was in trouble. Why was I not seeing the same results?
In the middle of implementing feedbacks on my website, I REALIZED THAT I WAS ACTUALLY PREPARING TO LET GO.
HOW DID I KNOW?
I stopped blogging, and was rather focussing on other things and thinking about how to move on without Wealthy Affiliate.
I even went as far as looking for other alternatives online. I checked out other hosts. I had actually made some reviews on the relevant sites, so I went back to my own website to review what I had discovered.
It was obvious. None of them offered all the features made availalble here to members free of charge.
In the midst of all the confusion and frustration, I just decided to stay away from my website and chill. I visited some friends (they hardly see my by the way). They were excited to see me and the first question they asked: HOW IS YOUR BUSINESS GOING?
SO WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS READY TO GIVE UP?
1. I Received A Sign That Quitting Was The Worse Thing Ever: A SUDDEN TRAFFIC SPIKE
Close to 150 visitors in one day with a Bounce Rate of 2.41%, only when I was like, ''That's It''. Remember that I've not been blogging for some time now. My website was stressing me up. I've still not decided to start blogging. I need this break.
2. My Friends Asked Me To Hang On
This is what really moved me, and what actually made me to change my mind to continue. My friends, who knew nothing about creating a website. ENCOURAGED ME TO STAY PUT.
They said my business is at its startup, and that the beginnigs are always difficult, So it was perfectly normal to feel that my efforts were not paying off.
None of them was like, ''You are being scammed, run away!!!'' In fact some of them told me they had read reviews about Wealthy Affiliate, and that I was in the right place, but I would have to put in the work.
WOW, THAT'S ALL I NEEDED TO KNOW. THESE GUYS ARE NOT MEMBERS OF WEALTHY AFFILIATE, BUT THEY KNOW WHAT IT TAKES MORE THAN I DO.
When you are surrounded by people who really love you, it reflects in what they tell you. I became fully motivated once again, and through this little storm, I've realized that there is no better place online to build a business online like Wealthy Affiliate.
MORALITY OF THE STORY
When you feel that it's time to quit, remember that you are building a long term business. If Google Analiytics and my friends are telling me that there is a light at the end of the tunel, even if I don't see it yet, I only have to trust that's the truth and move on.
But in the mean time, I think I'm still enjoying my rest. And what a feeling that would be, leaving your website for a couple of days, and having an effortless influx of traffic?
ONLINE BUSINESS IS THE BEST TODAY. AND WEALTHY AFFILIATE IS HELPING YOU BUILD ONE WITH STYLE.

Great post. Your friends are right. Our experiences here aren't unique. All business startups are a challenge. One benefit of our business startup is its low cost and low risk as a result. Don't quit. You'll get it.

When you have people to share your concerns and frustrations with (that aren't trying to sway you for an ulterior motive)--that can expedite the times when you get in a rut.
The wa community is an invaluable asset. They say the right thing at the right time. I wonder what others do without support to lean on. We at Wealthy Affiliate are fortunate to have this solid backup of highly relevant support. Thank you very much Domena.
Thanks for sharing. I am reminded that sometimes it is ok to step back and reevaluate your efforts as well as your goals. I set high goals but often miss the mark. But that's ok too because I have gone much farther than I could have imagined so far. On this anniversary of D Day it would be good to remember the call from that period, "never give up." I've been watching my website from a distance for now but having even greater ideas for diversifying my audience.
Now I feel ready to start working on it and with even greater anticipation.

The easiest way to get traffic to your website is to pay for it. But if that's not an option, then you definitely need to focus on building content and using SEO strategies, etc. Your friends gave you great advice though.
Maybe you can even do some networking with other people at WA, who might be in the same niche as you. Guest posting is also a good opton as well. But don't give up, because if other people can do it, so can you.

I definitely cannot afford for traffic right now, that would have certainly been the best thing to do.
I've however come up with content ideas during this period, as well as strategies to blog even twice per day if possible. That's the only solution that will work for me because I will have total control over producing content. I want to make sure no second is lost.
I have no reason to leave now and it's only best to finish what I started. I will do just that.
