My site that is hosted here has gotten REALLY slow. Am I alone?
It started two days ago. I do lots of my work in wee hours of the morning (midnight to 7 am Eastern time USA) to try to avoid peak traffic times. It got so bad that I could not even get the "edit page" to open a page on my pc. The site was also very slow loading on my tablet and my iphone. I finally installed W3 Cache, but it still is slow.
I also do not know when maintenance periods occur. Does anybody"

Hey everybody, I do no have a POP-UP installed. It is a Pop-over to get people to register. I pops up once in 6 days. It is not an ad. It is not an exit pop-up either. . I ran P3 as recommended by RICH and it showed LiveFyre commenting was the issue. I disabled that, put in Discus and reran. Now W3 is the biggest user of resources. I cannot seem to win here.
I am ALSO very slow and I ALSO can't seem to win in the world ... but my service from the server here is zipping along just fine. I hope you find the bottleneck that is dragging down your webpage access speed ...

I notice you have a "pop-up" that needs dismissing before accessing your site, if you run P3 you may find that's the cause of the issue. I'd also personally advise against them, I tend to immediately leave a site that displays them when I land, to me it's like trying to walk into a real world shop and a security guard asking me to hand over my name and address before I've even got through the door. Rich.

you build a shop & then in front of the entrance put a wall - (this is an architecturally unsound approach)...that is of course unless u r trying to keep people out

You mean like here at WA before you even have time to type in your name and password?
I, personally think that WA could give someone a FEW more seconds to login or for potential new members to have a FEW seconds peek at the site before blasting everyone with a MASSIVE popup! ... Just my opinion.

I have 2 sites installed and hosted here and I am in Belgium and have been having no issues whatsoever in the same hours just fyi ... I know that doesn't help much but it is further data for your investigations ...

I'd first recommend running P3 http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/p3-profiler/ to check whether there are any resource hogs, such as the theme or plugins, etc. I'd also be exceptionally wary of any of the "cache" plugins, I've seen a lot of issues in regard to indexing if they are not set up "perfectly". Rich.
I have an ecommerce site elsewhere that they suspended last night. They told me I had to have a caching plugin to keep it running. I also had a subdomain that they quaranteed, because I do not use it. Once they installed the caching program, it worked fine. I used the same one here and it seems to be faster now. I made sure the settings were all the same. . I will check the plugin p3 to see if there is anything else. I know I have a problem with Google Webmaster tools not working because it webmaster cannot verify the site.
OK, but do keep an eye on your indexing, ranking and SEO, I've seen several "catastrophes" with cache plugins such as WP Super and WP Total, etc. R.
I would maybe open a support ticket? I do not have enough experience to guess at what could be on your site that might be slowing it down. My website loads almost immediately and I haven't had any problems that I can think of that arent directly related to my own internet. But I just tried to open your site and I gave up after two minutes of it trying to load. I hope you get it figured out.
bloveds, I just visited your site, no problem with it fast load and I am in Brooklyn New York. The only Issue I have with the site is why do you have your opt -in form as a pop up right smack dab in the middle of your blog as soon as it opens, my suggestion to you would be to get rid of that pop up since you already have your opt-in already in your side bar which is sufficient, the pop up opt-in form that is right in the middle of your blog really takes away from your blog because it blocks what you have written and some reader may get annoyed and just leave your site which I would really not want to happen to you, because the site is really designed well, this is just my opinion and I wish you only the best of luck with your site.

Hi, just wanted to say that whatever you did seemed to work as the site loads fine for me =). Just one question, at the very top of the page is says paste your bing webmaster tools verification code etc with a lot of text. Pretty sure you don't want that up there. Glad you got everything figured out.
