How do I make a link open in a new page?

Last Update: October 17, 2013

In some of my blogs, I add a product with its image on the page, then I put the title and description of the product below. I the text editor I add the html affiliate link (text only), but the links never open in a new page. These are usually links from Linkshare, and I always choose the option to include this, but it never seems to get added. Can somebody tell me how to edit the html to add this?

When I go to Linkshare.com, I go to Get Link and it give me the option for the graphic link (which I do not use), and the text link. When you choose either one, you have to check a box that says "open in new tab or page", then copy the html code.

LinkShare does not work like Clickbank does where it gives you a small url that has your affiliate link embedded.

I cannot paste an html affiliate link. I have to put it into the text page. If it were a simple link (just url), it would not be a problem. There is a box to check right below it to have it open in another page.

Maybe you have broken link when you paste it at the text editor. Where did you get your link?
