Why Can't I Start?
I have been a member of WA since February 2019. I am so frustrated and disappointed in myself. I had high hopes and excitement for creating a blog or e-commerce site when I joined in February. It is now November and I basically have not completed anything.
I would like to say that this is the first time I started something and didn't follow through, but I can't. There is a long list of things I have thought about doing and didn't. What I really don't understand is that I am absolutely miserable with my current financial situation and the amount of stress I have on a daily basis. Yet, I can not make myself do anything to change it. Why? What stops me from changing?
I am sure I have some type of paralysis when it comes to writing. I would love to write a book. I even have a couple of ideas for fiction books. I started writing and then it came to a complete halt.
I have a good friend that is earning $17K per month (consistently) blogging. She is an excellent resource and could guide me on my journey. Still, I have not been able to move.
I have to make a change to my current situation. I can not continue to walk down the path I am currently on. I am hoping that writing this quick post and putting it out into cyberspace will help me find the motivation I need.
If you have any words of wisdom, or motivation, I would truly welcome them.

You are not alone. I have had those days as well. Here's what I can tell you.
1. Today is a new day. The past is the past. Let it go. It's not where you're going.
2. Start over!!! There's nothing wrong with taking it from the top with a fresh attitude and fresh commitment.
3. NEVER quit! The way the training is laid out, if you set aside the time and follow the lessons, the only way you fail is to quit. You can do this!!!
4. Tap into the incredibly positive vibe of the WA community. These people are here for you to help and encourage however we can. Everybody comes here with a different set of skills, but we all want something better in our lives. You do too!
5. Find an accountability partner within WA. Set goals for each day and each week that you can reasonably accomplish. You'll be amazed at the progress you can make in a short period.
That you're asking for help is a great first start! That takes courage in itself. Now make the commitment for yourself to take the next step and the next. You deserve this!
You got this!
Christine
Thank you for your great advice, Christine. I am going to start over today. I am going to spend more time training and exploring the WA community. I know having a support system is important, yet I have not pursued one.
Thanks again!
Brenda
Hi, Brenda! You got this. Every day is a new day to take just a small step forward. Everybody here is a support system. You are certainly not alone in this adventure. We're all here for you and to celebrate your success! Celebrate the successes, no matter how small they may seem. They are stepping stones to your goals. Wishing you great things ahead!
Christine
Hey Brenda, my suggestion would be to open the training and start at section 1 and just read the first lesson - you don;t have to do anything, just read it.
Then just do one thing - no matter how small - each day. Read a paragraph, talk to others in the chat in WA. Read some websites of those in here.
Just one thing a day will blossom into so much before you know it.
Please reach out if this does not work for you.
Paul
Thank you, Paul. I think doing something small every day is a great approach. I have to push myself to do this. I have completed 8 of the 10 training steps for beginners.

Hi Brenda, both Christine and Paul have some great advice.
I think once you do get started your creativity will be unstoppable. All those ideas you have will come tumbling out and you'll be wondering how on earth you're going to keep up with them.
We all have times such as yours. For me, I go old school. Find a quiet space, grab a pen and some paper and just start writing. Anything will do, the plots for your novels, stories about you, funny, sad or weird life experiences. What bugs you, what you love, regrets, aspirations.
It really doesn't matter what you write, it's a process that connects your creativeness with something tangible, words on paper.
Thank you for your advice, Twack. I too am a huge fan of pen and paper. I write everything in notebooks. I try to find colorful, fun notebooks because they inspire me to write.
Thanks again!
Brenda
You're very welcome.
