Wealthy Affiliate, Ruby Red Shoes, and Down the Rabbit Hole I Go.
So it all seemed very simple to me at first. I have multiplle ideas on services and products I could sell on-line. And so I ventured forth into the world of e-commerce thinking I had all sorts of real-time experience and four degrees to pull my knowledge base through. And then I realizee quickly that I had gone down the rabbit hole. I was in Oz and I lost my ruby red shoes to click three times. I was in it now and I better find some creative solutions to exciting challenges.
My first thought was to go to a server site, pay some cash, get a domain name, and make use of Wordpress. Simple enought, I said to myself. And then my new website appeared and entered deeper into the world of plug-ins. Simple right? Instll the plug-ins and follow the instructions.
About one week later when I visited my website I discovered that a couple of the plug-ins were not working properly. So I went to the Wordpress help site that was chock full of articles and comments from others experiencing all sorts of issues. I found a world of php code that was supposed to be inserted and held the promise of repairing my situation. A bit more tough now but i was up to the challenge or at least I thought I was.
What I really wanted was a human voice at the end of my telephone to guide me along. No such luck. Feeling desparate and defeated I looked around for a website developer at a reasonable price to take over the task. Again, no such luck. I was quoted prices that would require a second mortgage on a house that I didn't have anyway.
During my research I ran iinto the Wealthy Affiliate community. They made bold promises and I will have to say the skeptic in me flashed as boldly a red flag. But there was a free 7 day trial period. They weren't asking for my credit card and they invited me into their site.
What i discovered is a thorough and knowledgable staff go guide me along and genuine encouragement. Multiple free websites, an aggresive affiliate program that pays dividends, and numerous training courses complete with videos to help me start from square one. The skeptic in me was loosing the battle quickly. Within two days I took out my credit card, took a deep breath and became a premium member. i have been working this site numerous hours already and have found a new confidence and a logical system that will help me to meet my goals.
it's free for 7 days. What do you have to loose? i now have a clear path. i don't need to click my ruby red shoes and the rabbit in Wonderland along with his friends make much more sense to me.
Not to push the point too heavily but I will say it again. Looking to develop a web site with sound affiliates? Looking to sell your services and products on-line? Looking for a group that can offer an all comprehensive plan of action?
Give Wealthy Affiliates a chance to show you what they can do for you. You will save money and time. Do this. Figure out what you would like to be paid by the hour by your business. Multiply it by the number of hours you spend searching the internet solutions. Then factor in the cost of a server, an SSL service and a paid professional web developer. Then imagine discovering a service that offers it all by a few clicks of the buttons.
I don't know about you but I would much rather spend that money and time in selling and branding my services and products which is exactly what I am doing. Now I can take those hours and walk along the beach. Works for me.
