Add a Favicon to Brand your Site
Google Favicon Generator They are free for Mac or PC. Choose a Photo or Logo for your Favicon. Generate your Favicon .ico file
Goto Plugins-Add New
Enter All in one Favicon and Search Plugins
Install All in one Favicon
Activate All in one Favicon
Click on Settings and Upload Your .ico file
Click on Save
You should see your Favicon

Great information, I didn't know there was a plug in for a Favicon. I will have to check this out.
I used my family crest for my favicon http://athome9to.com check it out. All the generators say you can use jpeg but some of them won't work.
Thank you Bill, it was only yesterday that I thought, I must ask a question in the community how to do a Favicon, and here you have my answer! Don't you just love it when that happens? :)
