Youth Coaching
I have coached youth sports for over 20 years. I have four children and coached them all in various sports including: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, volleyball and weight lifting for athletic competition. Now that my last child is now playing under the coaching of their high school coaches I am ready to share my many years of coaching experience with anyone who wants to hear it. With my advice I hope to save you the trial and error years of coaching mistakes that I made along the way. I can make even a first time coach to look, sound and act like a coach with many years of experience. I remember my first coaching assignment. The President of our local Little League Organization called me up and asked if I could please coach the team my son would be playing one. That year they had more kids that coaches and he told me if I didn't volunteer my services they would have to cancel the season for this particular team. I didn't know the first thing about being a coach but I could not let my son down or the other 11 boys so I agreed. What a season! We lost every game except for our last game. When we won that game it was like we just won the World Series! There were hugs and tears - and I 'm talking about the parents and coaches! The kids were happy too! I learned a lot about coaching since then and my teams have won there share of championships, tournaments and so on. I am rich with knowledge and I would enjoy sharing what I have learned.
