I wrote a post and published it yesterday. It flew straight to the top of page 1 and i got the snippet. I was so excited.
But now when I look on google its not there.
Congrats on the snippet and following other's comments on the ranking. Like Phil said, the Google update may have an influence for a bit.
i have heard at least one other member say that they are no1 on google from jaaxy and not be ranked within the top100
as google is going through an update - don't be suprised if you bounce all over the place with rankings.
average them out over 3 months and take that as your true ranking.
bing i don't know about, but maybe the same thing.

My post is rank 1 in jaaxy but not in google - why?

That is because your "location" may not be the same as that within Jaaxy. If you are outside of the US, that could be why. Google will show different results, to different countries and the SiteRank feature in Jaaxy will show you where you are ranking in the USA.

Hey Guys. I recieved a "trackback request on a number of posts on my sites. is this spam? Has anyone seen this before?
Yes, I've seen this before. It can be span, but it can also be a link from one site to yours. It's a good sign!
I was just reading up on this yesterday because I got one too. The one I got was spam. Mostly, they will be spam.
Once in a while they will be legit. If you want to look through them, you can approve the legit ones and delete the others. If it's too much of a hassle, just ignore them all.
