The Importance of Taking a Step Back

We live in a society that majority of people are always on the move. There is no time to stop and enjoy time with their family, let a lone watching the sunset. People are so much in hurry to either achieve success or get a task done that they forget to take care of the most important thing, which is yourself. Is time to Take Action; Take a step back.

I'm not an exception. I used to be very self-discipline and so good in taking care of myself that I found it hard to believe when people say things like "I can't help myself," "I can't give up the extra cake eating," etc.

Experience is the best teacher

Until recently, my experience with life had made me appreciate and see life differently that I have come to realize that it's easier said than done.

I got so over focus trying to learn everything from building a professional websites to efficiently running my online business, that I stop working out, spending time with my family everyday, and getting enough sleep. I pretty much stop taking my own advice.

Now, I understood better why most of my patients are noncompliance or adherence to the medical and fitness advice.

How Premium Membership cure my addiction.

Initially after moving to the US, I didn't watch any TV shows until about 5 years ago when a military buddy of mine introduced me to a military TV show called "The Unit" featuring Dennis Haysbert (All States guy) which I ended up watching at work and all night for about a week straight.

I was so hooked up, what some of you will call it an addiction, that I continued with another called "24" by Kiefer Sutherland, to another, and the list go on.......

Interesting enough, the gravity of medical school exam could not help me with my so-called addiction to be fair, but as soon as I see the MASSIVE opportunities and benefits from upgrading my free starter account to Premium membership at Wealthy Affiliate,

I suddenly become free from TV shows addiction-I haven't watch any of my shows, including movies since May, 2020 that I made the decision to upgrade.

A true opportunity always have a TIME stamp on it. Take for instance, Apple and Amazon stocks, Bitcoin, and others.

Those early adoptors saw the opportunity, and took a bold step. There are other examples but time will not permit.

Why this post?

Sorry for going out of context, not intentionally. I wanted to remind you all the importance of closing your computer once in a while, leaving your workstation to go exercising, and spending time with your family and loveones.

When I was in the military, one of my commander used to tell us that we should never put our family after our job.

I wanted to say first, but I realized that God come first at least for any believer, then family and friends, and eventuallly our career or jobs.

Because when all said and done, all that will be left is our family.

Recently, I got so fired up trying to see more results which I know that some of you might be saying, he must be talking about money.

Of course everyone wants their websites to start generating money after investing so much time, effort, and money. But the truth is that I'm not in haste because at the appointed time, he that caused water to spring forth in the dry desert, will favor me.

What fascinate me, and give me the drive is the fact that someone like me who couldn't type fast in a computer get to build not just a website, but several websites, and to learn how social engines work.

Creating our dream business is a process and not a sprint or event. Life is too short to focus so much on achieving success that we forget to enjoy those that matters.

My brain is so burntout that I need to take a day off and rejunvenate.
