Diary of Progress 49 Weeks to go.
Extreme disappointment after 3 weeks.
Have I kept up with my commitment?
Well, as far as actual time and labor goes, I am thoroughly confident I spent well more in this third week than my committed time of 21 hours. In fact, I took one of my last vacation days for 2016 and basically worked 14 hours that day, yesterday. Today I worked a solid 8, so at week three I can say, with 49 more weeks to go, I'm about 18 hours over my committed progress as far as hours-inputted.
Problem? My site is junk. Looks worse than it did 3 days ago.
I;ve been turned down by one affiliate and probably two if I actually look into my email.
Will I continue?
Yeah, I committed a year. I want to go cry in a corner because I cannot, did not, and despite huge efforts of wanting to follow the WA method, learn how to build a website in WP through the back end. Crap instructions = crap results.
Did I find an alternative? Well, I'm a visually-oriented person who tried and tried to develop my site through WP, and simply could not progress, so, IO spent another 199 ($200) on Beaver Builder and I spent the last two days, the last two ENTIRE days, contacting WA and BB support groups to get the plug-ins to install and then update...
I believe I have now a "front page" web editor in place, but now I of course have to learn that editor.
All in all? Pretty darn disappointed in WA. Not going to lie to myself, and apparently my desire to keep this blog as a diary is proving true- as not a single soul cares to comment on anything I've written here.
So, carry on Christian! Learn your new editor. Now you have FileZilla in place and if I recall you saw a video last week on how you would have to install that anyhow to truly back up your website. Also, you have a free WP / beaver builder tutorial you are about 1/3 of the way through.
So, at week 3, I have no affiliate links, I have a crap-tard looking website and I spent a buttload more money.
Next week should be better, I'm guessing.

Hi Christian,
Three weeks isn't much time at all. A lot of affiliates won't accept such a new site, which is why I waited two months before even trying. It sounds like you're putting in the effort and it will come!

Thank you so very much for the encouraging words, Erica!
I truly appreciate it and it helped me this last week to keep going!
I didn't write back because I was in disaster-recovery mode all week, but your comments were not lost on me.
My next blog is hopefully a bit lighter!
Thanks again and All the Best!
Christian
