Baby Can You Use A Gun?
Recently a night visitor tried to enter my home without permission. I live alone and I like it that way. I have two alarm systems and know how to use a hand gun. Yes, I do have a hand gun that I keep for safety. All you individuals who are for violating my right to bear arms think twice. The constitution of this land states I have the right to have a weapon and you have no right to say I can not defend myself. That weapon you are so against has saved my life on more than one occasion. My family trained all its members to used weapons. No, we are not affiliated with any crime families. I learned to hunt for my own food if it was necessary. I can shoot a hand gun, shotgun, and rifle with a great degree of accuracy. I can fish and am not squeamish about baiting my own hook. My family believed in teaching its members to survive. How many of you can hunt and fish? Now how many of you are women?
I guess I am considered proactive because I am not the hide behind the furniture type of person. When I hear that some poor woman was beaten to death after calling for the police who never arrived in time to save her, I just shake my head in disgust. You idiots that think this was alright take a look in the mirror. You see that re flexion it is the next victim of a criminal that has a weapon. Weapons DO NOT KILL. People use them to kill. Stop the criminals from avoiding justice, close the legal loop holes that let them out of prison.
I can not understand individuals that act like sheep walking into danger knowing they are at risk and ignoring all the signs. Get those individuals who are trying to violate our Constitution out of our government. Term limits. What good is we the people if we the people do nothing. Take a good look at all the legislators and ask if their bodyguards are carrying weapons? I think the majority of individuals want to be able to defend themselves and hunt for food if necessary.
You can ignore me and say these are the rantings of an old lady from a different era. An era where children were taught to respect each other and their elders. A time when intellect was valued and not scorned. Writers valued telling the truth and were not gagged by special interest groups. Insurance companies did not control legislative outcomes and price fixing was a crime.
Where did that time go? I know my mother would say I am just stirring up a hornet's nest and many individuals will hurl nasty words at my head. I can only say hurl away. Have a good time but while you're at it take stock and see if I am wrong. Take a good look at an education system that wasn't broken but now it is. Children who respect nothing. Now put a gun in those ignorant hands and we have a killer. The gun does not kill but that ignorant child will use it to kill. YOU CAN NOT HAVE MY GUN!!!

As a retired law enforcement officer< I fully agree and have always supported our rights to bear arms. I have always believed that it is not only our right to be able to defend ourselves, our family, our neighbors, friends etc, but that it is our obligation, our duty to do whatever we can in a life threatening scenario.
The police does do its best to protect and so on but remember that police repose to a crime is 99% of time going to be after the fact.
Even if police respond within a minute is still a minute too long for our victim, (a lot can happen in a minute during a life or death situation).
Little story I'll try to make it as brief as possible. well maybe we'll see lol.
Some years ago, one night at around 12:30 am, I receive a dispatch call reference a possible home invasion with shots fired.
Our victim / caller was a young female in her late 20's with a 5 year old daughter,(single working mom), My Hero Lady.
My Hero Lady was also a CCW permit holder who owned a .38 cal Smith and Wesson snub nose revolver which she carried in an inside pocket of this large purse bag. My Hero Lady had also taken some firearms safety and shooting classes.
It should be noted that My Hero Lady didn't always believe in in guns. She told me that it had been a incident 3 years prior . She was accosted by a knife wielding co-worker who, well you know wanted a little hanky panky from her. That day it was her boss that saw the incident taking place in the parking, stepped in with his gun and chased the co-worker away. My Hero Lady became a believer that night. Yeah that guy was arrested later charged and convicted, but that's another story.
Back to our night in question. My Hero Lady was in her apt. watching TV, her daughter asleep in her bedroom. Sometime while watching TV, My Hero Lady fell asleep on her sofa, her purse bag with her gun was in front of her on her coffee table.
My Hero Lady is suddenly awaken by a loud banging noise against her front door,(our perp was trying to kick in her door).
Well of course the usual panic and fear grabs hold but My Hero Lady was able to control her emotions, grab her gun and set herself up covering the door.
Two maybe three kicks later her front door flies open and in steps a man holding a small purse in his hand.
Bang Bang Bang, My Hero Lady fires at the man, (3 shots fired just in case you weren't counting).
She does hit our perps and he does what perps do best when so called victims shoot back. Yep you guess it, he ran like scared jack rabbit being chased by wolves.
Our perp does manage to flee the area in his car which he had parked down the block a ways. We did catch up to him a couple hours later still bleeding, unconscious and within the proverbial inch of his life.. Yep he did survive due to the efforts of rescue services.
Why did our perp do that? Well glad you asked lol. Our perp was a sexual predator in the making. Yep our investigation showed that he had already been building up his resume to sexual predator maybe even serial rapist status. He had several past recorded sexual misconducted arrest and charges, small stuff, trying to take a pic up some lady's skirt in a dept store, showing his pipi in public at the ladies in a park, getting tossed out of bar for lewd behavior etc.
Our perp and our Hero Lady had somewhat met about a week earlier at a restaurant lounge place. Our lady remembered the encounter but did not remember his face, ( she paid him no attention not even a glance that night). Anyway our perp was also in this lounge place, sees our Hero Lady with her friends, walks over and tries to pour on the charm and moves on her.
Our Hero Lady and her friends basically brush him off saying." not interested leave us alone buzz off creep".
This of course, this was a grave insult to him, his ego just got manhandle by a bunch of females specially our Hero Lady who didn't even bother to look at him.
So that night, unbeknownst to our Heroine, he followed them until she was dropped off at her home and now he knew where she lived.
His excuse, well the usual, he was not going to hurt her blah blah blah, he just wanted to harmlessly scared her a bit and kinda teach her a lesson in politeness and respect blah blah blah.
Well the only lesson taught that night was a lesson to him in the proper use of a handgun.
Although I will say this My Hero Lady does need a little more practice, after all, she fired 3 times but only hit him once, Yeah definitely more practice she should have been able to hit him at least twice if you ask me.
So to you Bellalion I salute you, and fully support your right to defend your self and love ones
Well hang in there bub I believe you only have 10 more years to go,
Good Job
Ricardo I'm following you
I agreed with the right to protect yourself and bear arms but machine guns should be use for war when there is war . They should not be on the hands of irresponsible children. and mentally disturb individual that can go to a shopping center and commit mass murder of innocent people. This unfortunately has become a trend.
No nasty words from me..... You are 100% right! Guns don't kill people, they never did... it's people using guns to kill people. I hear it said many times in the media: "We have a gun problem" There is NO gun problem, it's a people problem. You always hear about "Gun control" and not people control. What if more murders are committed with knives.... oh yes we would have a "knife" problem right? hahaha guess we would need to outlaw knives.. oh we could go on and on about that, can you imagine too many murders committed with rocks...?
I'm with you on this. I grew up learning respect for others. I grew up being taught how to hunt and fish and how to protect myself.
Being from a small town in the country protecting yourself is not that big a deal. However there are many places that it is and I have lived in some of them. Nonetheless, respect has gone away for the most part and a must to have protection these days.
Great read!!

I support you 100% Knowing that my X has serious mental issues and is somewhat of a gun and ammunition Hoarder and could take a life with little to no remorse definitely instills a dire need of self protection in me. Luckily when we had him arrested for assaulting my 25 year old son,he had been charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a state that he did not have a permit for about two months earlier. When he was arrested he was not allowed to take both his guns and ammunition. I truly felt our county Law enforcement did what they were allowed to do to protect us but he was allowed to keep his guns. Luckily my son who lives with me has guns also and is an excellent shot and had training. That gave us security knowing that living rurally if he came back violating his restraining order we at least stood a chance. I agree that we should have the right to bear arms but I think there need to be stronger laws to somehow get guns out of the hands of people who are arrested for things like carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. Especially in a case where he had prior assault records and I was telling the police that he had tried to kill his friend right in front of me in my living room and had his friend not been very agile he would be dead now. I asked him what he thought he was doing and his response was "I was going to spill his guts." He missed his friend and slashed a huge span of my couch cushion wide open. When I told the police officers this, they responded with "Did you report it?" Hell no I didn't! I did not want to die, was my answer. I explained to them that this man never lets me out of his sight and was very abusive, having at one point shoved me down on the couch shoving his thumbs into my mouth and pushing out on my inner jaws until the right side popped and I let out a guttural growl that was a sound I didn't even know I could make and I believe it was the only thing that stopped him. This man was allowed his guns. Not only that but he sued me for 28000.00 for 1/3 of the property my parents were selling to us and 1/2 the value of my dog breeding business after sitting on my couch for 10 years never working a day and continuously taking every penny I made. I do not feel he should have a right to bear arms anymore.
