My Online Business
So, I created my online business earlier in the year without WA. I purchased a already made website, purchased hosting, and then set up all accounts with distributors etc. I really thought I was going to be making like thousands of dollars a month. Wow was I wrong. haha
My problem was I did next to nothing to promote my site aside from making a facebook page and searching yahoo answers for questions about products I was selling. and then leaving answers along with a link to my site. FOUR months went by before I got my first sale. and honestly I had forgot about the site. But this first sale motivated me and I purchased "visitors" traffic from sites claiming to be real people. No its not, I bought from three companies and they were all fake with the same 6 ip addresses hitting your page over and over. Wasn't worth it.
Now my site is averaging about 200 views a day and about two sales a week. which is like way way lower then I thought. The business I started is a sex toy site, something that is hard for me to promote via social media since its more private and most people don't want to like my page because they don't want people judging them or for work related reasons.
Now, I never would have thought that I would start a business like this in a million years. I made business cards and sometimes I am still embarrassed to give them out. haha But I really wouldn't change anything. I love my website, I love the online support I get with it, I love the idea of becoming successful.
Now I am just really excited to start using WA to help me reach out to a larger possible customer base and teach me what I want to learn. I think I am already ahead in a huge way since I already have an up and running business that I have paid everything for and have no expenses with WA or my site until the next year. So everything I make is profits.
My website: www.theheavenlypleasures.com
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/rgiaoejrgiuhaeiu
I really love it and am proud of it!
So where should I start if I already have a site that I want to promote and drive traffic to?
Here's to a Successful year to me and all of you! And a thank you to WA for the BF deal! :)

Sex toys? Of course I had to look.
First of all well done on taking the bull by the b…s (I mean horns)
It is a very competitive market you have chosen
Why not attack this from a more personal point of view and, instead of "just another sex toy" site that allows your viewer to browse and possibly purchase something, create a blog and blog daily.
If you know which toy is the hottest seller concentrate on that one in terms of promoting.
I would love to hear the demographics of the clients - make for interesting reading I think.
Best of luck with it.
To date my customers have really varied age wise. Mostly 35-45 age and 18-24 year olds. All have been men except one customer. which really surprised me. But i have noticed almost all of my customers purchase the same product. which is a product that i linked in one of my answers to a yahoo answers question. So i know if i start getting out there in a form of a blog like you suggested or even keep up with anytype of promoting i will see results.
I was actually thinking youtube has some huge people with large audiences and there is a girl who does kind of risque discussion topics so i am considering offering her $200 worth of products of her choice in exchange for a video. I can only hope that she would say yes!! she has like 300,000 subscribers that follow her religously!
When i got the opportunity to have this website i didn't really realize how competitive it was. but if i just put in the work i know it will be successful!
I really want to get a blog started too.
