I got a 404 error when I put my sitemap on GWT. Why? What do I do?

I am just watching it now, remember to not put in the www. before your website url. Just a thought.

Good Question will wait for the good answers.

I am not sure what is going on with GWT I have been trying to sort mine out, have been told all in one SEO does sitemap for you when I click on it works fine, as does it on bing finding it frustrating, have checked all my links

I'll let u know if I figure it out

that would be good it looks like mine has resolved itself hope it stays that way

Which plugin are you using to create your sitemap?

What is the URL you are putting into GWT?

Which video tutorial are you using to set up your GWT?

XML Google sistemaps
XML sitemap
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/insights-into-webmaster-tools

Did you build your sitemap in the Google sitemap plugin?

In webmaster tools go to

Crawl
Sitemap
Submit sitemap

It should say your web address. Simply type "sitemap.xml" in there. DO NOT use the whole URL (website.com/sitemap.xml)

Does that work for you?

How can I send u screen shots of what I mean?
I did set it up right I put it under "Sitemap.xml"
But sill get a 404 error

From the master himself, check this out and see if it helps https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/setting-up-verifying-google-webmaster-tools

That's the one I followed, and had no problems

I put some in wrong

what is the different between a account and a property in google analytics?

Good guestion try asking in live chat....

if you go to analytics it gives you an option to delete the website, if you have google webmaster tools you will need to do it there also

Where is this option

it is on the top right hand on the main page says manage site and gives and option to delete site

I think you check mark it and then delete. or hi light and press delete, but I am not sure. I just went to analytics and it said I have to sign up,but I already have an account. So will have to see whats up there.

Thx

I can't figure out how to apply to à program.

Very interesting. Thanks all you awesome WAers

I work on a ipad & it shows everything a little different, so if u double click on it then it works. :)

That should cover it, need any more info, let me know!
The complete website is the key to getting accepted.

CJ is one of my favorites. I can't recall any problems signing up with them. After that you have to apply for each program you like. Some get approved in seconds and some take a week or more. But make sure your site is up and running because they check it. After every soo I made to a merchant, they were listed on my analytics.
Hopefully, you have already found out how to sign up to CJ. I see your question was a few hours ago. If not, maybe I can go through it with you.

Sorry.. *soo is supposed yo be app. My phone changed it.

Igot it thx

When you find a program that you like, there is an apply for it on the right of the screen. You will have to wait for some response from most vendors. Look at the requirements as all vendors are not available in all states and areas. When you get accepted the vendor will let you look at links that are available.

It's about time for me to ask. Lol

What happens after the 60 days...is your link invalid ??

Hi,

I did check it from the affilite help section: under the What is a HopLink?
Answer ...(This ensures that if a customer clicks on a HopLink referral tracking URL you've posted and ends up buying the product within 60 days, you get credit for the sale and receive a commission.)

So it is 60 days .. if the end user did not clear his cache history and delete the cookies :) if he did .. no cookies no payment :( from clickbank

60 days

Wow, that's way better than Amazon's 24hr

Don't know, just know it is not long enough

Not sure exactly but I do know they are way longer than Amazon's pathetic 24 hours.

Boy, that's the truth isn't it?

What I'm reading online it says 60 days. That sounds pretty unbelievable to me, Do a check through CBanks TOS to be sure. I don't want to pass out wrong information.

I was just changing them every 30 days, but I think 60 sounds right

Changing what?:) Do you know any affiliate network/program that keeps cookies for even longer? Thanks

Not long enough! I don't remember exactly, but you can check clickbank TOS to get the answer.

Thx
