Did I Screw Up, Again?
Today is my first day of my fourth week as a member of WA. I have come a long way and so very grateful to everyone here for your encouragement!
I have my site up and ranked! My content, also!
I feel it is good enough to start to send people to and have been waiting to go public with it until next Thursday. However, on occasion, I will give my website address out if I think someone needs it.
Today, while doing research for my next review, I was on a bogus "Live" webinar. There were only myself and one other in the chatroom. We started chatting back and forth which lead to me giving my website out to her.
Nothing happened except the standard system error message asking to verify my software blah, blah... But, I went into total panic!
I'm asking, can there be any repercussions from doing this?
I suppose I should have thought about it, but it was just the 2 of us and it really wasn't live.
Please let me know what the protocol is and if you think it was a stupid thing to do.
I guess on the upside of it all, it managed to get my first post out of me!

I can see why you are concerned. I think as long as you site is still functioning and you password work you should be Ok. You may want to change your password just as a precaution. Congratulations btw on your amazing progress.

Hi Becca I can see why you are worried, I am actually not sure how to help. Can you get into your site without any problems? I occasionally get a log in message when I go in through Wordpress. If you cannot get into your site, put in a ticket to site support. Hope this helps.

If you can still get to your site, and everything is still functioning, and your site is hosted on WA, you should have little to worry about. The password encryption here is strong and passwords are (as far as I am aware) changed very frequently, and although there is no such thing as a fool-proof AV software I think that the site security is top notch.

Thank you, I believe everything is ok! I changed my password before I wrote and I haven't had any issues. One sure thing is I've learned to be much more cautious! I should have thought first, my bad! Have a great day!
