The Worst Part? Creating Content!

Hey WA fam,

I've already set up my first website, created the "about me" page and the "privacy policy" page, got indexed by Google (because I installed the Site Kit plugin, it was indexed the next day) and now I'm trying to create my first Keyword Rich Post.

I don't know what it is about writting that is so difficult but I'm really struggling with this part. It seems like I'm afraid to write content that is not good enough which will lead to me missing some kind of opportunity with the keywords I'm using. This sounds so silly since I know that practice makes perfect (and I don't have any practice at all in writting blog posts) and that I can always come back to this post and rewrite it when I have more experience. I feel like this blog post can make or break my website.

Did anybody else have this same feeling?

Do you have any tips to overcome this struggle?

I'd really love to hear from you! :)

Best wishes to you all,

Beatriz

Yep...me too. I just restarted pursuing an online business a couple of weeks ago, after first looking into it about 10-12 years ago. I'm sure like everyone else there are parts of the process that I enjoy doing and parts I don't. I can sit and do research all day long - keywords, domains, affiliate offers, etc. And I don't mind the technical tasks such as setting up the Wordpress framework. And I've started using an online task/project management tool to document and organize my process and my keywords. But the writing...ugh.

I've thought about trying to find someone to partner with who enjoys writing but not the other stuff. I know I can hire freelance writers, but I don't want to really invest that money right now. I also know it will be better if I build MY business with MY voice and tone and build relationships...but I still don't like it and don't want to do it.

I have my site up and it has been indexed by Google and I've written a couple of pieces of content...just gotta keep going I guess.

Best of luck to you!
Keith

thanks for your message Keith!

Honestly, I actually don't min writing that much and it's one thing I can actually imagine myself doing for a long time.

Check out a tool called Articoolo, it's computer-generated text but it's cheaper than the freelance writers and it could be a good help, you'll just need to adapt the text instead of writing everything from scratch.

Cheers

I can relate to what you are saying. I had the same feeling for several months. I found that writing as if I was having a conversation with someone on the subject I was writing about that it came easier. It takes some time but it seemed to work for me, I wish you the best of success!

thank you for the amazing tip and support! 🙏

Sure I did feel the same! I'd say, you have to start writing no matter what. Try to think of writing as if you were talking to a friend because such style is always nice to read.
And try to forget about missing the opportunity with keywords. I can tell you that you never know what keyword is gonna be the hit and which not. I choose them soo carefully and it's still like a game.
Reading this post, I can tell you are an intelligent and thoughtful person, your articles will definitely be good! Just start writing, Beatriz!
Lenka

thank you so much for your kind words and support! 🙏

Yes, I'm gonna focus simply on writing and that's it... the rest will follow, I'm sure! :)

Thank you again!

Wish you all the best!

Hello Beatriz,

I have faced the same fear. So what I did before I posted my first blog post:
1) Gathered all of the ideas. To simplify it, I created mind mapping. I use the WH-Questions technique and go from there.
This is a great way to have an endless blog ideas for weeks.

2) After I got an idea of what to post, I check for the keyword using Jaaxy. Once I got a rich long tailed keyword, then I start doing some research from other website in my niche.

4) Make notes from the research and create your writing outline.

5) Keep writing. Proofread and edit it later.

Good luck. Practice makes perfect. You'll get used to it!

Cheers,
Ferra

thanks a lot for the amazing advice!

I already have the subject to write on (with a great long-tailed keyword) and even the topics within that subject. My problem now is literally just writing. 😅

I only have the first topic already written and the problem was just starting because as soon as I started writing the rest just flowed. I'm really struggling with simply starting (which sounds so stupid 🤦‍♀). I really need to stop overthinking this and just do it.

Thanks for all the support! ❤

Aww...nooooo... Don't say that. It's not stupid. IT IS natural. It happens to many of us.
Starting something really is scary. Just like when we first start learn how to swim. Putting our feet for the first time into the water...hmm...that is scary. All the negative thoughts rushing in. What if I am drowned...what if I don't like to be in the water... those what ifs hinder you from knowing your potentials.

You can do it, my friend. See, you have everything laid out. You follow the training well. The keyword, topics, etc.

Just post it. We can always go back and edit it later.

I loved the comparison you made with learning how to swim, makes total sense! 😊

Thank you so much! ❤

I look forward to reading your first blog post.

I did it! Finally finished my first blog post!

I'd love to get your feedback! :)

Woohooo... woot woot... Congrats!!!! I'll def check it out!

:D

I've been there. Just yesterday I was able to knock out most of a post in 2 hours. When I started here, it took me a week. So, keep at it. The more you do the better you will become. Like weight lifting, you get stronger the more you do it.
Keep your audience in mind as you write, concentrating on how you can help them.

thank you for your comment!

It's really motivating to see how somebody that was in the same place as I am now progressed to a point where it became easy for them to write a blog post like it's no big deal. :)

Wish you all the best!

Ha Ha. It's still work and a big deal, but just easier and faster. You will look back and be able to say this to someone else. Probably sooner than I did.
Be blessed.
Barbara

thank you so much for your kind words! It truly helped and gave me a lot more motivation to get going! :D

All the best!
