More Fun With AI

So, I discovered another AI image maker that has potential—Ideogram AI. I was pretty impressed after using it only once. I have been getting irritated with Dall-E because it seems no matter how I word the prompts, I get images that are not realistic. ChatGPT is great for writing, brainstorming, outlining, etc., but in my humble opinion, it sucks at images.

About Ideogram

First off, Ideogram has a free level, which is quite generous, in my opinion. You get 10 slow credits, which is up to 40 images per day. Their low-tier paid package is $7 per month if paid annually. This gets you 400 priority credits up to 1,600 images per month or 100 slow credits daily. So, as you can see, they have decent pricing tiers.

The Results

So here are the results. I used the same prompt for each Dall-E and Ideogram. I tried about six times to get a more realistic image from Dall-E, but as you can see, it still looks unreal. I kept trying to get good ol’ Dall not to add the weird waves and flood waters, but no luck. As you can see, it just does not look real, even with going back and adding camera information to try and get the photorealistic quality.

Now for Ideogram. This one looks very much like a real photograph. It needs a little tweaking, but all in all, it's not a bad image.

Conclusion

So, I believe I’ve found a new AI tool for my arsenal. After taking the time to play around with it to see what it can do, I believe I will be using Ideology a lot.
