Jett My Dog

Everything you need to know about building a business you can learn from raising a puppy to an adult dog. Jett is my big, baby, girl. I got her free from a good home of lab puppies when she was 8 weeks old. Now, I bet your asking..this is a dog not a business. True, but the message is the same; if you want to raise a happy, healthy dog you must nurture, feed, care and understand your pet. It is also important to know how to handle the different stages of development in a dog just like you would a business. Every business has a stage of development and with those stages, tasks and procedures must be implemented that apply to those stages. With a puppy, there is constant monitoring, nurturing and caring as it develops its sense of self esteem to make sure the puppy is developing and growing up to be healthy and happy it needs consistent care and behavior reinforcement to make sure they are going in the "right" direction. A business needs care and nurturing for that same purpose. Understanding your goal and purpose enables you to gear your implementations and energy focus in the right direction.

Jett is now 10 weeks old. My "teenage-furry-fanged-child". She does require care but in a different type. You must remain calm when she tries to defy your authority, she needs physical activity and affection. She needs to know you are THERE. Just like a business, your customers and community once those relationships are built require attention and consideration. Your readers and customers need to know that they are being HEARD. Loyalty and trust is something you build over time, just like a good dog is loyal to its master, one wrong turn and you could lose a customer.

Well...I hope this stimulates your brain and keeps you motivated. The great thing about pet ownership is giving you something to care about other than yourself. The value of a life that is precious, same is for parenting and raising a child.
