I finally have my routine going for me that seems to fit well. Enter your own correction... to take my son to school and come home to clean the apartment and run my errands for that day. Enter your own correction... looking through my cookbooks and the internet for a dinner plan for us. Thank god my son is not a picky eater so its not to hard for me to pick what we will cook that night.

I spend a lot of the day looking or a job, but it tends to get me down because I can't seem to land one. I am not giving up though. When it gets to that time I go get my son and put all my thoughts on the back burner, that way my son doesn't see the struggle in my eyes. He is fully aware of the situation. I don't keep it from him due to the fact he is part of it and he deserves to he heard if he has anything to say about it. Yes he is my SON but we are a team.

We do homework together and get the rest of the chores around the house finished. My favorite part of the day is when I get in the kitchen and my son is by my side learning and helping me cook dinner. We have some great memories together in the kitchen. It is nice to be able to do this with him. Knowing when he gets older like everyone says it will be like pulling teeth to get him to spend time with me. I'm not so sure they are right about that. He is my shadow and he is 12 years old now.

Back to the routine though, after dinner we sit and watch a movie or I play video games with him. I can't play for Sh@! but it's a thing if my son is into something I'm going to participate in it that way he doesn't feel like I don't like to do things with him. All said and done for the evening after getting him ready for the next day and hes off to bed is when I get my time to sit and reflect on thee day and write a bit on my Blog and update what I want on all the social media sites for my Blog. Enter your own correction... to reflect on me and strategies for the next day.

It is a good fit for us right now and I have really enjoyed the time off even if it wasn't planned because for 5 years I worked graveyard shift and missed those 5 years of him growing up. Now I get to see the growing up he had to do because of that and Enter your own correction... sad because it was too fast for his age but very proud of him for it.

We wake every day even the weekend at 7 A.M. to start the day, and by 10 P.M. he is in bed and I am writing. I usually don't get to bed till 1 A.M, or a bit later. I know it may not be healthy for me but I am a night owl. My dad always told me I will rest when I die. Once I get a job we will have to adjust the schedule a bit but but nothing major anymore. I am not willing to take another graveyard shift, I am not willing to miss anymore of my sons life. But as it is now I should have been asleep a long time ago. So nap time to me for an hour or so.
